Seasonal Remembrance

Frozen lake and frozen flakes,

How a minute I'd wish we'd take

To cite the feeling we could not fake.

Like snow, I melted at the touch of your skin.

Huddled up in silence, couldn't help but grin.

So calm, you could hear the drop of a pin.

So sweet, you could feel our unspeakable sin.

Boreas, how could you be so cruel

To freeze the lake

And frozen flakes

And let this moment thaw?

As this winter moment turns to spring,

I can't help but feel the grief you bring.

Once warmed by the flame of something

Now when touched is a heatless sting.
