Mr. Simpson didn't know what to do with the satchel when he first saw it the morning after his son, Brad, left it there in the living room. He read the note and opened the satchel which was full of cash and he was ever so grateful for his son for being such a hard worker. He still is.

If only there's a way to thank him. Brad has never been home for the longest time, but his dad still cleans his room just in case he comes back. It saddens him that his only son doesn't go home, but at least he has his daughter to keep him company.

"What's with the satchel, dad?" Brad's sister asks.

"Oh, Brad left it here last night. He must've came in through the window, so typical of Bradley. He's never changed." Mr. Simpson chuckles.

"Okay, well I'm going out to do some grocery shopping. Do you want anything?" Natalie asks.

"No, thank you. Just come home safe." He smiles and waves at her as she leaves.

Mr. Simpson wishes he could join his daughter with grocery shopping, but he couldn't.

Last year, Mr. Simpson was diagnosed with cancer and day by day he keeps getting weaker and weaker. They didn't tell Bad, because they didn't want him to worry. Besides, Brad must be really tired from working non-stop and his dad feels like a burden even though Brad would be happy to help him with everything. Mr. Simpson just hopes that the money in the satchel would be enough for his treatments.

"Dad, I'm back!" Natalie says before going straight to the kitchen and putting the groceries in their place.

She loved her father with everything in her heart, so she does everything for him especially now that he's ill. It saddens her that Brad doesn't know, but she knows that there will come a time where her brother would eventually find out. She knows that Brad would be upset, because they should be more open with each other and it'll upset him that they didn't say anything to him.

Natalie proceeds to make dinner for her father and herself. She made sure it was healthy and fresh, because she wants her father to eat well and live a little longer.

It's just really sad, because she knows that's unlikely and the doctor said he had about two to three months left. She tries not to think about it, but she can't imagine losing the strongest man she's ever known her whole life. It's also sad that she couldn't grant him his one wish which is:

Spend time with Brad until his last day.

If only there's a way to get a hold of Brad...
