Ann followed behind the two once again now pulling her suitcase behind her not really sure of where to put it. She looked around the large apartment, it was open and modern with clean big glass windows surrounding the apprtment reaching from the ceiling to the cream carpet. It was clean to Ann's surprise but it had elements of four boys living there like the play station controller in the middle of the coffee table or the odd cd lying about.

"I made tea er I hope tea is ok" Luke spoke up turning back to Ann with a sheepish smile on his face as Meghan rolled her eyes a little at him obviously Ann was missing something.

"I'm not a big lover of tea but don't worry" Ann spoke softly looking between Meghan and Luke their hands still intwined as Luke's face changed from one of nervousness to panic.

"You're British but you don't like tea?" A new voice questioned, Ann turned to see where the voice had come from seeing a boy with light hair fluffy looking as though he had just got out the shower. He was sporting a blue and white flannel with black skinny jeans with a friendly smile plastered on his face as he stepped closer to Ann.

"Yeah erm sorry about that" Ann muttered laughing nervously only getting a chuckle in response.

"I'm Michael" the boy replied sticking his hand out for Ann too shake as she did he pulled her in to him wrapping his other arm around her in a tight embrace. She tensed at the sudden contact being about as awkward as a teenage girl talking to her crush, her heart hammering against her chest as she hugged Michael back. She wasn't use to this sort of contact not from a boy. And a good looking one at that.

"Ann" she said but it came out muffled her head mushed against Michael's chest. He let go offering to take her suitcase an nodded slightly as a signal for him to take it smiling a little as she did so. She liked Michael.

"We have juice you like juice?" Luke questioned rummaging through the cupboards looking for something suitable for Ann.

"Luke-" Meghan breathed putting her hand on the top of his back. Ann watched as he instantly relaxed leaning in to her best friends touch. "Don't panic she isn't going to bite your head off" she laughed looking back at Ann beckoning her over, she could tell her best friend was nervous but Meghan knew she had no reason to be. It was only her after all.

"Juice is fine I'm happy with anything honestly" Ann reassured sending Luke a small smile to try and calm his nerves a bit. Was he nervous? Ann couldn't tell.

"Just give the girl juice Luke and give up the act yeah?" Another voice hollered from across the hall, Ann saw the boy and waved slightly trying to push the bubble of her nerves down, he smiled back teeth on show as he walked over to the small group waving back at Ann as he quickly added "Meg you never told me what a catch your mate was" winking at Ann as he did so. Her cheeks flamed a deep shade of red as she looked down at her shoes clearly embarrassed and surprised by the not so subtle comment and the wink well that just topped it off.

"Aw she's blushing" Michael chimed in only making Ann heat up even more her best friend telling them to leave off. She knew how embarrassed she could get and only felt for the girl. She wasn't used to all this attention since Meghan was normally the one who got it, since secondary school she was the one the boys went for. So all this was a little new to Ann.

Ann stared down at her hands fiddling with her fingers as she did so, she couldn't dare look up at anyone in fear she would go a deeper shade than she already was.

"Cal don't try to get it on with my best friend yeah? At least not in front of me" Meg spoke up giving the older boy a look as he looked over at a slightly intimidated Ann, he turned back to Meghan shrugging innocently as he said "the thought hadn't even crossed my mind" which was a complete lie but he could tell how the new girl was feeling and didn't want to make her feel even more uncomfortable. Calum was nice like that.

Michael called Ann over saying he wanted to show Ann her room, still pulling her suitcase behind him. Ann walked over quickly trying to be careful not to knock one of the expensive paintings off the wall. She succeeded.

Calum squished past the two saying a polite excuse me to Ann on his way lightly pushing Michael out the way after he passed. Which only caused Michael to curse at the laughing boy, Ann watched from behind she could tell they had been friends a long while.

"So The Annie how are you liking Sydney?" Michael popped up as they made there way down the hall taking Ann to her new room, they had left the drinks fiasco to be dealt with later the boys being more worried about getting Ann settled than worrying over what drinks she liked and didn't.

"A lot not that I've got a chance to see it yet" Ann replied tucking her hair behind her ear as she did so, a small chuckle leaving her lips once she had done so. It was a funny question to be asking since she had only landed in the country little over three hours ago.

"I'll show you around if you want" Calum commented reappearing from where ever he had just been, walking towards the pair with a giant smile on his face, Ann was sure he never stopped smiling. She liked that.

"You don't have to-" Ann started but was cut off by a body crashing into hers. She fell back but was steadied by the stranger her heart pounding as the unknown person gripped her arms in their hands holding her tight. She could already tell it was a boy just from the smell of his cologne. It engulfed her making her nose scrunch a little.

"Sorry" she squeaked out looking up at the not so happy looking stranger, she gasped a little at the beauty of the boy. His curly hair a mess but somehow he made it look good his jaw was defended as if he was clenching it. She looked at his hands gripping her noticing how big they were. Her brown eyes went wide Ann had always been a sucker for big hands.

She heard a few quiet swear words leave the boys lips as he pulled his hands from her leaving her skin cold and almost bruised. It was as if he recoiled from her,the thought of touching Ann being something he disgusted. She watched as his face changed from one of confusion to anger as if looking at the girl standing infront of him made his skin crawl.

"Look where you're going short stuff" the boy spat roughly pushing past Ann leaving her in a state of confusion and almost hurt, she didn't even know the guy and he seemed to hate her. Just great. The slam of the front door closing brought Ann out of her busy mind as she looked between Calum and Michael with a surprised expression. She had not been expecting that.

The boys looked at each other sighing deeply as they did so. "That's Ashton" Calum spoke softly looking at Ann with sorrowful eyes. "He can be a bit-" Calum started but was soon cut off by Michael "-of a dickhead" he finished the sentence for his friend as he continued walking to the room Ashton had just come out of.

Ann nodded more to herself than anyone else, she didn't have time for people like that and sort of made it her little mission to stay away from this Ashton kid. There was only so many chances she could give someone and by the looks of things Ashton had just lost one of them.
