"I can not believe i'm doing this." Calum said to himself as he made his way back down to the Lake with a backpack full of items. He was going back to look for the girl in the water, whom he had not told Luke about, just incase his best friend thought he was a psycho.

It was currently sunset and he knew the fishermen would be gone by then as they were only allowed several hours a day to do their fishing.

He just told Luke he was heading down to the lake to call Mali, his sister, not wanting to reveal the true information. Luke wanted to go with him, but then dropped into an in depth conversation with Kendall, his crush and decided that it was too good to leave.

So Calum made sure to hurry, knowing that he did hot have much time by the lake, before Luke got bored and decided to go hunt him down, especially if Kendall decided to end their 'sexting' as Calum preferred to call it.

He made it there quickly and searched for a new spot instead of the pier, fearful incase it would end up collapsing beneath him again. He settled for the large rock, further down, where he had met her a few days ago, it was high enough that he would not fall in and also provided enough distance between them both, because although he would not admit it...he was slightly afraid of her.

Sitting down on the side of the rock he removed his backpack and began unzipping it, removing the contents and laying them out in front of him, closer to the edge of the water. He was unsure as to what would lure her in and so decided to use several different 'edible' methods to catch her attention.

The first item was a frozen fish, that had been resting in Luke's uncles fridge for goodness knows how long, the second was a fish stick, half cooked since Calum was unwilling to wait for it to finish, and a tin of tuna and a can of sardines were the last items he had brought along.

Presuming 'she' would only eat fish, he thought his plan would work and somehow he would able to befriend her...or it.

He was entirely sure what 'she' was supposed to be called.

"Uh....." He began whistling out into the open and even splashed his fingers around in the water a little, hoping she would notice it and swim up to the surface.

"Hey...uh....girl.....miss....merm- no never mind." He struggled on ways in which he could contact her. He even began talking to himself, like a guy trying to figure out how to ask out a girl. What he did not know was that from afar...she was watching him and found it all rather amusing.

Eventually, after waiting for a good ten minutes or so, she showed up quite a few feet away in the water, watching him emotionless as his eyes found hers.

"Hey." He called out to her, waving his arms in the air. "Hey."

She began swimming closer and son enough, she had made it towards the surface of the rock, still eyeing him suspiciously.

"H....hi." He stuttered looking down at her as she looked up at him.

"Um...i got you some food. Thought maybe, you'd be hungry...or..." He stuttered, gesturing to the literal 'fish food' in front of him.

She pulled herself up a little on the rocks, just enough so she could reach the food comfortably. Again his eyes darted towards her chest but it remained covered by her jet black hair.

Her fingers pulled out of the water and reached up to grab the frozen fish, pulling it back towards her mouth and taking a sniff before looking back up at Calum.

"You want the fish?" He asked her, but she did not respond. He watched as she brought her lips towards the mouth of the fish and he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.

"No no you're supposed to eat i-" but he cut himself off when she blew a puff of air into it's lungs and within seconds he noticed it's tail had begun to move before it wildly began thrashing around in the girls hands.

"Holy shit!" He half yelled, eyes wide as he jumped back, startling the girl in the process as the fish fell from her fingertips and landed in the water, swimming away into an ocean abyss.

She looked up at him afraid and he thought he may have lost his chance of communicating with her.

Taking a deep breath in, he quickly tried to compose himself before slowly moving closer to the girl.

"H-how did you do that?" He asked, but again she gave no answer.

"You....that fish has been dead for like weeks.....wh....i just.....holy.....you're friggin' magic." The last few words brought a small smile upon her lips.

She rose her right hand and pointed her index finger at Calum, confusing him slightly.

"Me." She nodded. "What...i...i don't-" she pointed to the pier, then back to him, guesting to his head where he hit it against the rock when falling in.

He struggled but eventually managed to put the pieces together in his mind.

"You." He breathed and she nodded, instantly knowing he understood her.

"You did that to me...you..." He focused his mind to ask her the one particular question he needed to know.

"Did i drown?...the other night...when i fell?" She nodded slowly and a light gasp left his lips.

A silence fell over them, both unsure as to what the other person was thinking.

"You saved me....you..y-" he stuttered, realising that what he had just seen her do with the frozen fish was what she must have done to him.

She gave him life.

"You're magic."
