The day has finally come to lay Ms. Brenda to rest.
We was huddle up under tint while the pastor talked to the family about the healing process of a significant lost.
After 15 minutes of talking the pastor and funeral directors release a dove in the Sky.
A true representation of Ms. Brenda. Such a lovely lady she was.
I dab my eye with a Kleenex thinking about all the memories we made. She will truly be missed.
" you ready to go girl ?" Marley asked.
I looked in Rock direction seeing that he was the only person still by the casket as it was about to lowered down.
I knew this was very hard for him to take in.
" um ... you can wait in the car Imma go talk to him" I said tilting my head to his direction.
I don't even think he realize I was here. To tell you the truth he seem to be out of it.
Since the service started I glanced at him couple times seeing him staring at nothing in particular.
" ok girl let me know if you need me" she said.
For some reason I felt nervous as I got closer to him.
It felt like meeting him for the first time.

After 2 minutes of not speaking he finally said something.

I stared up at his face missing those features of his.
His beard grew out more and his hair. He had the slight scruffy look going on.
He looked sooo handsome.
" how you been?" He asked
He look down at me with those mesmerized eyes.
" Ive been good" I said faintly
" what about the baby ?"
I smiled a little at the mention.
" the baby is fine"
He nodded his head.
" I'm sorry for how I treated you that night I know you were only looking for my best interest"
" all is forgiving" I said waving his comment off.
I missed him these last couple of days.
We both stared at one another just taking in each of other appearance. I don't think I could go another week without him.

He looked toward Kane who was calling his name.
" we finna head out , you gone be straight ? Wassup Nia"
" hey" I said waving my hand.
" yea, thank you man"
" no problem, we brothers man call if you need anything "
I watch as they gave a brotherly hug.
Then looked back at me.
" you hungry ?" He asked
My stomach growled making me turn red from embarrassment.
" yea"
