"No Gin. Actually, in 2002 I said no to his proposal but he said he'd keep asking until the answer was a yes, and ask he did, he proposed to me 23 times after that, always getting the same answer and only on the 24th attempt, Christmas Eve of 2004 did I say yes."

"You made this bloke wait two years and propose 25 times in total before you said yes? That's just mean Mione, I almost died with stress and I only had to do it once" Harry was incredulous.

"I almost said yes on November that year, but I knew I wanted to wait for December." Harry looked even more traumatised now so Hermione kept explaining, hoping she'd be fast enough and save her friend from having an aneurism. "You see, we have this tradition that every Christmas Eve we will give each other only one of our gifts to open before we go to bed, my little gift to him that year was a card saying "There's a new Golden Trio in town"  with a magical sonogram of our baby inside. I was about 14 weeks pregnant at the time and holding that secret was the hardest thing ever. However, when I saw his face instantly glow up upon opening the card it was all worth it."

"That means you got pregnant around mid to late September. James's baptism was on the week of Halloween that year, did you know it then?" Ginny, a mother herself of course did the maths and was now waiting for her friend's answer while all the boys were still trying to figure out her quick thinking.

"I didn't when I came over. But during the weekend I kept feeling sick and very tired so I did a test just to be sure and found out the day before the baptism and, not gonna lie here, I was utterly terrified. I was not married, still so young and now carrying a child. However seeing you with James made me realise I could do it." Hermione squeezed Ginny's hand and they both wiped a few tears that were threatening to leave their eyes. "May 2005 my little boy was born, he was a bit premature so that was scary but he was as strong as his daddy and pulled through it. Since we wanted to enjoy that first year as parents to the maximum we didn't start planning for our wedding even though I was especially eager to get married purely because I wanted to have the same surname as my two beautiful boys. Knowing this, my then boyfriend gave me the most amazing birthday gift in 2006, a weeklong Christmas getaway to a chalet in France just for us three and our parents with a little wedding ceremony. That Christmas Eve we got legally married to each other promising we'd have an "official" wedding down the line. Shortly after that I found out I was pregnant again and we welcomed our little princess on August 2007. We're now planning our big wedding celebration, to which every single one of you will be invited of course, and I can honestly say this is the happiest I have ever been. He not only brought light back to my world, he became it, and I can't wait for him to join us later so you can all see how amazing he truly is."

As she looked away from her friends at the table and across the room she saw him, the love of her life, holding their perfect little girl on his arms as he talked to some friends and family. "Only a bit more time Hermione" she thought to herself.

"So, just to get this straight" Ginny started, getting her friend's attention back "you've been married for a year and a half now and you still haven't had your party so I didn't just miss that."

"Yes Gin, that's correct!" Hermione smiled.

"And you have two kids, a boy who turned 3 in May and a girl around 10 months."

"Correct again Gin, and before you ask neither of them is baptised yet. My husband and I wanted to wait until we told all our friends before we rushed into making someone we barley knew our kids' godparents."

"I think I can live with that. Even though I'm still angry I missed your two pregnancies, I bet you have the cutest babies!" Everyone laughed at this and slowly they all got into separate conversations with each other. "Please tell me your kids are here today, James is only a year older than your boy and Albus is a year younger, they could all be best friends "

"Yes Ginny, do you really think I could come her without the kids? They're somewhere in the kids room or with their father."

Ginny looked around the table to make sure everyone was deep in their own conversations before she turned back to Hermione and whispered "Talking about your husband I cannot wait to meet him, but if I can be honest with you for a second here, after the end of our last year here and even during the years following that I was absolutely sure you where going to end with..." suddenly Ginny was no longer looking at Hermione, instead her eyes fixed behind her friend's chair but she kept going with her phrase, although this time louder and only saying a name "Draco."
