Leila looked down at the gym floor, feeling anger fume in her. To mock my sport...

"That's not even a sport!"Karen cackled. What is her problem?! We literally met last night! Leila clenched her fists.

"Forstinger! Get down here,"The coach shouted. Karen descended from the bleachers, standing in front of Leila with a smirk. Leila mentally sighed. She just attacked me verbally for no reason, Leila thought. She looked up, seeing Karen's mismatched eyes. They were a strange combination. One was violet, and the other was a dark green. Like the hulk's colors, Leila thought. She mentally laughed. "Atkins. Can you dance in what you're wearing?" Leila blinked in surprise. She looked down at her skinny jeans and converse.

"Yeah, I suppose,"Leila replied. My converse should be okay, hopefully. She looked at the coach.

"Good. Arabesque, slide, echappe, plie, axel turn, grand jete, and add something to it,"The coach told her. Leila blinked in surprise. He knows ballet moves? Leila swallowed, backing up to where she had plenty of room. The coach blew his whistle. Leila started off and did what she was supposed to, everyone gaping at her. She plied and jumped, doing her axel turn and ran into her grand jete, watching Karen's smile drip from her face like wax from a candle. She added in a couple of connected pirouettes and finished. The coach turned back to Karen as Leila walked over. He crossed his arms. "Do exactly what she just did." Karen blinked at him in shock. He rose an eyebrow. "Can't you do that? It's not a sport, right? It's not hard, right?" Karen stayed silent. She clenched her fist beside her leg. "Atkins."

"Yes, sir?"

"How many years have you been doing that?"

"Eleven,"Leila told him. He nodded.

"Don't mock when you couldn't even think of what to do if I shouted those words at you,"the coach told Karen. Karen clenched her fist. Leila went back to the stands and sat down, smiling to herself as Nora gaped.

As they stood in line for lunch, Nora was still raving about Leila's dancing skills. They had come from their Anatomy class, where the teacher glared if you even thought about speaking, so Nora was getting it all out now.

"I didn't know you had ballet too!"Nora told her. Leila laughed at her gently and nodded.

"Yep,"She told her. Nora grinned.

"That's so cool, you must be pretty talented." They started gathering food on their plates. Leila sighed at her.

"Not so much, my mom forced me into lessons. My sister, Megan, is-"Leila paused. Is...she thought to herself. I meant was.... Her heart throbbed. Nora blinked at her.

"Hey...Leila...what's wrong?"She asked, seeing Leila's sudden sad expression. She tilted her head to the side. Leila jolted from her thoughts and cleared her throat.

"Nah. Nothing,"She lied. She swiped her card and followed Nora to the table. Halfway there, someone walked past, shoving their plate of food in her face. Leila coughed and spluttered, squeezing her eyes shut.

"Leila! Hey you bitch, what's your problem?!"Nora hissed at someone. She pulled Leila to the table and sat her tray down, desperately pulling napkins from the napkin holder. Leila placed her tray down, wiping food from her eyes. She saw a familiar head of blonde hair swaying her hips over to the preps table. People were staring at Leila, snickering. Leila felt her heart sink. Nora helped clean her off the best she could, muttering under her breath about how Karen was such a bitch. Leila sighed, brushing Nora's hands away.
