"Make note. This will all be on your midterm exams,"Mr. Kaepick, the History of Werewolves professor, announced. He tapped the board twice. "This is the complete list, and of course I'll omit some things. As for what I omit, you'll find out on the day of the test." Everyone sighed. Some people scribbled down the sections in their notebooks. Others played on their phones, ignoring him completely. He sighed, obviously annoyed with the lack of attention he received from the few students that ignored him. Derek, who was sitting next to Leila, leaned over to her.

"Can we talk?"

"After classes,"Leila replied, her eyes turning back up to the board. She scribbled down the sections, lining them up all neatly. Derek rolled his eyes and leaned away. Mr. Kaepick had finished for the day, and plopped down in his desk in the corner of the room.

"You're honestly taking notes?"Derek asked. Leila looked at him and frowned. He shrugged. "It's all easy. Haven't you ever looked into our history before being marked?" She rose an eyebrow.

"You've got no clue where I'm from, do you? Juliane was a town that banned anything to do with Werewolves, they're all scared out of their minds of us,"Leila answered. She closed her notebook and sat it on the corner of the desk. She clicked her pen and leaned forward. "My neighbor across the street even freaked out when she saw my Supernatural posters and stuff in my room. Thought it was "devil worship". They're religious freaks. I would've been hung if I'd have looked anything up on Werewolf history." Derek rose an eyebrow. He leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms.

"My town wasn't as strict,"Derek told her. He closed his eyes. "Lander is full of goth kids, stoners, and preps. Everyone just does what they want, within reason." Leila frowned. He's from Lander? That's pretty far away, she thought. Derek opened his eyes. "You watch Supernatural?"

"Well, yeah." She smiled at him. "Cas is my favorite, if he was real, I'd date him." Derek shot her an annoyed look. She blinked. What's with him all of a sudden? Derek sighed hard.

"I wasn't ever much into Supernatural. I watched Doctor Who, though,"Derek told her. Leila rose an eyebrow.

"Wow, I didn't peg you for that." Derek frowned at her. She chuckled. "I figured you were one of those rich kids, the ones who played football or something." He rolled his eyes.

"You don't know much about me, do you?"He sighed. She shook her head. The bell rang overhead and everyone rushed to leave the classroom. Leila grabbed her bag and shoved her notebook in it. "Hey. Come with me." Leila frowned and glanced at him.

"We have class,"She told him. He sighed and grabbed her wrist before she turned to leave.

"Come on. You wanted to have your questions answered, right?"Derek told her. Leila blinked at him. He pulled her wrist gently, indicating he wanted her to go with her. Nora walked over, stopping beside Leila.

"Lei, we'll be late for P.E.,"Nora told her. Leila glanced back at Derek. His hand tightened on her wrist. He's not taking no for an answer, huh? She thought. Leila sighed and turned, looking at Nora. Nora blinked. "Oh, no you don't. You are not ditching me for P.E. alone!" Leila gave her a pleading look. Nora sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Fine. No making out though." Leila's cheeks flamed up.

"Shut up, we're not doing that,"Leila hissed at her. Derek pulled her off, dragging her from the classroom. Nora hurried after them, stopping and watching Derek drag her down the hall. "I'll see you at lunch!"

"You better be there!"Nora called back.

Derek released her wrist once they'd gotten in the elevator. He leaned against the bar, holding his notebook in hand. Leila sighed.
