"Hey hon, did you and the girls find dresses for the ball tomorrow?"my mom said as I chewed a bit of my delicious fast-food cheeseburger.

She had called my cell almost as soon as I had walked into the house, Jenny and Sophie in tow with our greasy-smelling food.

I nodded and then remembered that she couldn't see me,"Uh, yeah. Thanks so much mom for, you know, taking us and paing for our dresses and everything. The girls and I really appreciate it."

I heard her tinkle of a laugh that probably won my dad over the second he heard it,"Of course, sweetie. Anytime. I really miss all of you, it's been too long. What, like a week now?"

"Mom, come on, we're big girls. We're doing fine. But, I miss you and dad, too. I can't wait to see ya'll tomorrow."

"Same here. So, are you or Sophie bringing a date?"I could practically hear her eyebrows wriggling as she said this.

My mom had been on me for practically forever about how I need a boyfriend and how, despite how annoying they are, they can make your life better if you pick the right one. Plus they take you out to eat and buy you things, so that's a plus too according to my mom.

I give a loud, obnoxious laugh,"Haha, mom. That's totally funny."

She scoffs,"Hon, you are a gorgeous, intelligent, and kind person. How are you so flabberghasted about having a boy like you?"

"Because all they want is my money or fame, or more like your fame and money. There's this one guy, but I don't think he likes me like that and he doesn't even know who my parents are, so he's irrelevant."

"Do you like him?"she asks curiously.

I look around at the walls, thinking long and hard,"I think so."

"Then there. Go after him. If he's awesome enough for you to like him, then I'm sure he won't care about who I or your father are."

"I don't think it's that simple, mom, but okay. If you say so,"I say, twirling my hair around my finger and watching in a daze as it slowly and gently unwrapped.

"I do say so. Now, someone is calling for me so I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you and tell Jenny I love her and tell Sophie to stop hanging out with you just for the free food."

I roll my eyes and answer before hanging up,"Love you too mom, and I'll be sure to tell them."

I look up at the other two sitting across the table, lost in their own conversation.

"Hey guys,"I say to get their attention. When they look up at me I say,"Mom said that she loves you Jenny. And Sophie she told me to tell you to stop being my friend just for the free food."

Jenny nods and Sophie looks at me appalled,"Never! I love food too much!"

Jenny and I laugh at her weirdness, before continuing to eat our meals. After we finish, we quickly get settled for bed. After all, we had a big day tomorrow.

The next morning was chaos. My alarm woke us up at seven in the morning and from then on we hurried around to pack our things. We were staying in California the whole weekend, even missing school on Monday. So we had to pack for two nights and we had a flight to catch at ten. I mean, it was the private jet so it couldn't really leave without us, but it was good to keep the flight on time.

Once all of my things were thrown into my black Chanel suitcase and I had showered and  dressed in my Pink sweat pants and sweatshirt, I hurried the other two into my car and drove leisurely to the airport since we were kind of ahead of schedule.
