Ava's pov
Last night Brandon left after we worked for a while and I was so exhausted I just went to sleep. This morning I got up and took a shower. I left my hair natural and slipped on a black long sleeve shirt and a red leather skirt. I made a smoothie for breakfast and ran out of the house. I drank my smoothie on the way to school and parked in my normal spot.
School was boring today. All of my teachers had the same idea to lecture us today. At lunch I sat down with my friends and Pricilla looked at me."Shopping, after school, all of us," she said. I looked away from her.
"I can't," Melody gave me a scared face.
"What? What do mean you can't?" She asked.
"I have to work on the project," I said a little quieter.
"Ava, come on you can do that another night," she said.
"No I can't, I'm sorry, I already made plans," I snuck a look at Jesica. She knew it was with Brandon. Pricilla rolled her eyes at me just as Anthony walked up to our table.
"Can I help you?" Pricilla asked. I gave her a look and smiled at Anthony.
"Pricilla I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me?" He asked. Aww he's so sweet. I gave a look at Pricilla. She better say yes.
"No way, get lost," she said. He nodded and walked away.
"What the hell? That was so mean?" I said.
"You would have done the same thing," she said. I saw Melody's jaw drop. I turn my head and see Anthony with Jack and Brandon. Brandon meets my eyes and I mouth 'I'm sorry' to him. He nodded and walked away with Anthony and Jack. I didn't speak to Pricilla the rest of lunch. When lunch ended I went to my next class without a word. As I walked to class my phones buzzed in my back pocket.Brandon: Meet me at my house after school to work on our project
Me: okayI slid my phone back in my pocket and continued walking to my class.
After school I headed to Brandon's house. I don't know why I was so nervous. Maybe because I'm meeting his family? I get out of my car and walked to the front door. I rang the doorbell and waited patiently. Brandon opened the door and smirked.
"Come on Ava," he smiled. I gave him a weird look and walked in his house. He was right his house was a lot like mine. As soon as I walked in a boy that looked almost like Brandon came running towards Brandon.
"Ava, this is Luke, my brother," he said running his fingers through his dark hair. I smiled at Luke.
"You're pretty," Luke said.
"He's right about that," he said. I looked at him and just when I was about to say something a woman behind me cut me off.
"Brandon?" A shorter woman came up to us.
"Mom this is Ava, she lives next door, she's my lab partner," he said putting his hands in his pockets.
"Hi, Ava, it's nice to meet you, I don't think we have ever met, my apologies, we have lived next to each other for so long," she said.
"That's okay Mrs. Meyers," I said. She smiled at me and Brandon cleared his throat.
"Right, well you too go study or work on whatever you are working on," she said taking Luke by the arm and dragging him out of the entryway. Brandon led me upstairs to his bedroom. It had dark blue colored walls and his bed was messy. He had shelves on model cars on them and a big desk in the corner. I examined the shelf.
