Ava's pov

When I woke up in the morning Shawn was gone. It was around ten in the morning and I had already missed 1st period. I didn't care. After last night I didn't want to go anywhere near school. I needed a day off especially since Pricilla's party is tomorrow. I sit up, clutching the sheets around my body, and run my fingers through my messy hair. What a night.
Finally after laying in bed forever I get up and take a shower. After my shower I change into some leggings and a t shirt. When I walk downstairs I suddenly feel the loneliness of this house. I can hear the echo of my footsteps on the cold marble floor and it makes my heart ache.
For breakfast I make some waffles. I ate them all in a span of 30 seconds. When I finished breakfast I went upstairs. I lakes past my mom's room and then turned back. I hesitated before opening the double doors and walking into her bedroom. It was dark but it smelled like her. I flipped on the light in the bathroom and went into her huge closet. My mother had so many clothes. She had twice as much as me and way more purses and jewelry. I ran my fingers over the fabric of the clothes and look into her jewelry drawers. I spend a long time in her closet trying to imagine her wearing all these clothes. I finally force myself to leave her room and go do something else.
I go back to my room and grab my phone and walk down the hallway to the dance studio in my house. My mom added this to the house when I was 15. It was a birthday present. I loved it. Mirrors covered the walls and it was a huge open space for me to just dance. I hook my phone up to the speakers and start stretching.
My music is on shuffle and I start dancing, making it up as I go through the movements. I watch myself in the mirror as my body completes each movement and then on to the next. I start to lose myself and I keep dancing.

Pricilla's pov

After 3rd period I head to lunch and meet up with Jesica and Melody.
"Have any of you seen Ava?" I said sitting down. They shook their heads.
"Maybe she's sick," Melody said. Please, She is not sick.
"Do any of you know what's going on with her?" Melody and Jesica look at each other.
"Pricilla she just lost her mom," Jesica said.
"I know but that was months ago and she isn't acting the same," I said shaking my head.
"Maybe she just needs a little more time," Melody said. I shook my head.
"We gave her time over the summer, it's time for her to get back to partying and making fun of the cheerleaders."
"Maybe she's changed, maybe she's just taking a break," Jesica looked at me.
"Well she better change back, I'm tired of taking over her responsibility's. I swear I feel like I'm the only one that cares about anything. I mean did you see what Ava wore yesterday? So not her style!"
"Pricilla you need to calm down." Melody said patting my shoulder.
"Just talk to her, tell her how you feel. Maybe this weekend we could all go shopping. That might cheer her up." Jesica was right. I need to talk to her. I nodded.
"You are all coming to my party tomorrow right?" They both nodded eagerly.

Ava's pov

After I danced for almost 2 hours Pricilla texted me to meet her for lunch. We met at a little cafe by school. When I arrived Pricilla was already sitting at a table. She smiled when she saw me. I plastered a fake smile on my face and sat down.
