It was just another night when I had nothing to do. I for one am not a very 'social' person. I would much rather stay in the comforts in my bed than actually interact with others.
I am not one to take the initiative and go make friends. I am the one to sit till called, and wait for others to come to me.
I guess when I was in elementary school I was more of a people person but that's a story for another time.
This was before I met my best friend in second grade. The grade where everyone is 'best friends' but for some reason, she's still here after all this time. I guess we just started to talk and never really stopped talking. I mean, yes, we have had some disagreements in our past but we're all good now.
So a lot of years after second grade, I, Charlie Autumn, am still best friends with this specimen.
My best friend, Marie Naomi, a great swimmer and track runner. She is like the girl who is popular but does not brag about it. She knows that people look up to her but she never looks down on them.
Also, she very rich. I mean loaded. Her family runs a very successful oil and gas company.
We live in Manhattan, New York where we go to a prestigious school for only those whos tuition cost more than some people houses.
Marie, she's my opposite, but I love her to death.
I, on the other hand, am more to myself. I choose to have a small group of friends and just be nice to people. I don't really do much. I like to write songs in my free time with my small amount of piano training.
Some may wonder, how do I go to a prestigious school with Marie if I'm just an average girl. My father is a cardiologist and is very good at his job. My mother is an investor in many corporations some you may even know. I live in the back of this fancy neighboorhood five miles away from Marie's.
My house has more of a cozy modern feel.

So Marie is the most popular girl in the school and I'm her plus-one. She never makes me feel that way though. She really is my truest friend and I am hers.
