"Aww, poor Y/N!" Samantha, the bully of the school shouts at H/C haired person. "Shut, up." The small, tear stained person says shaking. Samantha laughs. The whole class watched curiously as the two sixth graders battled it out surrounded by desks. "Bitch!" Samantha's last words before she pushes Y/N, who happens to stumble and fall face first into the teachers desk, who was out in the hall dealing with kids making out in the restroom.

Y/N's eye hits the corner of the desk and they yell in pain. The teacher rushes in and helps them. Y/N had to get a glass eye because of the permanent damage, and they've been blind out of their right eye ever since.

It's been three years, I should really just get over it. I get dressed in my favorite outfit before heading into the living room, where my mother sat on the couch.

"Hey mom, I'm going to Larry's." I said to my mother. She nodded without looking at me and I went out the door. I practically lived with Larry. I would go early in the morning, and go back home late at night. Half the time I slept over too. My mother hasn't really paid attention to me since dad died two years ago.

I knock at my best friend's door, and Lisa answers. "Hi Lisa, Larry home?" I ask with a casual smile. "Yes, come on in sweetie." Lisa says and moves out of the way. I give her another smile before making my way into Larry's room. Larry is talking to a blue haired... person when I walk in. Oh shit, I hate meeting new people.

"Hey Larry, who's this?" I ask closing the door behind me. Larry looks over to me and gestures for me to go over to him. "This is Sal! He just moved in on the forth floor." He explains to me. "Hi, I'm Y/N, Y/N L/N." I introduce myself with slight awkwardness. I smile nervously. They have a mask, wonder why.

"I'm Sally Fisher. Friends call me Sally Face." They explain. It's a male, he has too deep of a voice to be a girl. I move my hair in front of my glass eye so he can't tell. "C'mon Y/N! Your eye is sick!" Larry 'compliments.' I don't think he really understands that compliments are supposed to make you feel good about yourself, not show off something you hate about yourself. I shoot Larry a glare.

"Your eye?" Sal says with a tilt of his head. "Nothing." I dismiss with a shake of my head and a smile. We all stand there in an awkward silence before Larry speaks up. "Dude! I should introduce you to Todd and Ash!" Larry says excitedly to Sally. Ah, he didn't include me. It's my worst nightmare, my best friend leaving me. I try not to let the overwhelming depression show.

"Well then I should go..." I sat and back up a few steps. "Your not coming?" Sally asks. I shake my head. "Ash and Todd aren't fond of me. I don't want to get in the way." I explain and with a wave, I'm out the door. I let out a sad sigh and leave. "I really don't want to go home..." I complain to myself and begin my journey to my apartment.

Sadly, Todd's apartment was next to mine. I'd most likely see Larry and Sal. I get in the house and go to my room. My mother was in the same place she was when I left, maybe I should make her favorite meal? No I can't do that, she'd yell at me for making a mess. I can't cook anyway. I flop on my bed and day dream until I doze off.

I'm awoken by knocks at the front door. Odd. I stand up and make my way towards the door. "Who is it?" I ask. "Sally." I open the door and it's the masked boy from before. "Larry said you lived here so I was hoping we could hang out and get to know each other." He explains scratching his neck. I look over to the couch, my mother is sleeping there with a tear stained face. "Sure, let's go somewhere else though."

We ended up at a cafe' that Larry takes me when I just want to leave my house. "This is one of my favorite spots." I explain when we get to the front door. "What do you want? They have non-caffeinated drinks too." He looks over at the menu. "Sweet tea please." He has a sweet tooth... cute. "Sweet tea and my usual please." The girl at the counter give a knowing look and we sit down.

"What's your usual?" Sal asks curiously. "F/D." I reply readjusting my hair. He nods but his blue eyes that just glow beyond his mask never leave my face. I think he's going to be a keeper.
