Oh god, oh god, oh god. This would be a disaster, wouldn't it?

His partner had yet to arrive, someone had been kidnapped that morning, and he had very likely failed his chemistry test. Pacing around the designated meeting spot, the roof of a building hidden safely behind a billboard sign, he couldn't help but worry. "Where is she? She's usually here by now," Solaris mumbled, adjusting his wig. If only there was a magical transformation to disguise his identity, though he had no supernatural abilities to grant him such a power. Instead, he had to change into his crime fighting attire. He preferred mobility as opposed to practicality, simply choosing a black short sleeve shirt, a black zip-up sweater, black leggings, as well as a pair of decently worn black combat boots. Drastically different than his average attire, yet easy to put together with select clothing articles from his closet. Topped with a black wig to conceal his ginger hair, a dark masquerade mask, hazel color contacts, and the hero name "Nox," he felt as if his identity was secure enough; after all, there was only one criminal in the city, Heart. Though he attempted to present himself as a sadistic being with little to no empathy, the small boy often left their fights mostly unscathed and the victor. In truth, the other appeared to be of a similar age and not very interested in harming others. The purple eyed student simply viewed him as a troubled and misguided soul, not particularly fond of fighting and crime though not entirely against it. He would commit illegal acts should it provide him a way to have adventure in his life, Solaris supposed. Oh dear, he was going to be terribly late at this rate, he couldn't afford to wait much longer. Heart had kidnapped a citizen and perhaps Sienna got herself grounded. It wouldn't be the first time and the boy doubted it'd be the last. Before his leave, he left a short sticky-note behind. "Hey Sienna!" it read. "I already left to go fight Heart so just head over!" He finished it with a quick doodle of his hero alias giving the other a thumbs up. Of course, he signed it with "Nox."

Rushing to get to the glass skyscraper he had committed to memory months before, the short boy couldn't help but notice the gazes he received. While Sienna was well known and loved, the same was not entirely true for her partner in defeating crime. Perhaps it was because of his chosen alias or attire, though he was often thought to be less dependable. The sidekick the city could live without. The boy no one asked for but received regardless. Nonetheless, he had arrived within the hour and began to head to their designated encounter room. He often joked about it with Sienna as they neared the room. Located on the top floor of the building, the one room with walls entirely of glass, it was often barren save for the occasional chair or stool brought in by Heart. "No time to lose," Solaris mumbled to himself, hand hovering in front of the door. With a deep breath, he opened it.

"I'm here! I'm sorry for coming so late, I was waiting for Sienna but she never showed up," he tittered. Heart seemed to be furious while the captor, dear god he knew the captor. May, his childhood friend, had been tied in the corner of the room, duct tape over her mouth. "Nox, where's Sienna? I've been waiting to fight both of you all day."

"I'm not sure, to be entirely honest. I think she might have gotten grounded again."

"God damn it, she has to stop doing dumb shit."

"For once, I think I agree with you."

"Oh damn, she has to continue doing dumb shit."

As if she was rightfully frustrated with the two boys' banter, May couldn't help but attempt to speak. Although it sounded much like a loud yet indistinct mumble, it certainly got the hero's attention. "Ah, May!" he stammered. Oh no, he mentioned her name. Hoping that none but him took note of the faint rose dusting his cheeks, he quickly attempted to correct himself. "May I help you out of this situation?" Perhaps stammering had made his error less noticeable. He honestly doubted it. She simply stared at him in annoyance and disbelief. Of course she wanted him to help her. She was tied up in the corner of the room and was entirely unable to help herself. "My god, Nox. Are you actually that much of a disaster that you don't know if you should help someone who isn't in a position to help themself? I promise you, if she could she would have left and gone about her day," the silver haired boy laughed. His blush worsened. "Aw, look at you blushing like that. It's okay, Noxie," Heart cooed. "How about I help you out and let you both go? Clearly you're in no condition to fight, we might as well postpone this fight."
