Chapter Nine

"I need you to scrap the original plan." I told Mellissa, and she nodded immediately, while Jaxson had his arms crossed, just staring at me with an impassive face, but eyes that showed he'd eat me alive when he got the first chance. He also seemed surprised that I was so vocal.

"What do you need me to do different?" she asks, and I rub my eyes, careful to not mess with my makeup.

It's been days since I've had to mess with it since I haven't slept at all.

"I need you to go as soon as we're through here, and grab Sylas. That we've seen, no one really knocks or checks up on him. It won't be weird that he's gone a few hours before everyone else." I say immediately, and she nods.

"Do I need to go the regular speed?" she asked, and I pinched the bridge of my nose.

I glanced at Jaxson, but he refused to give me any helpful advice, still upset that I didn't tell him I technically had two fiances. It's not like I didn't understand him. I did, but my siblings are more important than his insecurities right now.

"We're on such a time crunch, I'm going to need you and Kam tonight. I don't want to put Crimson in danger with her mate worrying for her." I say, and she nods in understanding immediately. Jaxson scoffed, but stayed silent.

" So make Sylas put on some sort of blind, and then run him there. take it off right before you get there, so that Hellein doesn't think somethings wrong, since I didn't blindfold her. He'll be weird about it, but tell him he needs to trust you, and tell him that I promise to get Sobbis out, to trust that I'll be able to do that." I say, stressing the importance of the way she talks to him. She nods to me, and she puts her hand on my shoulder. she glances to Jaxson, and then back to me.

"I think you're doing the right thing by getting Logan and his wife out. They deserve a better life than this." she says quietly, and I take a deep breath.

"Between Sylas and Crimson begging me, I coulnd't not. And I've sort of messed up Gunthers. My father refused him to even meet anyone, he made Gunther wait for me to comem back, and I know that if I leave, and Gunther stays behind, he won't be able to find anyone, and after finding love myself I couldn't let that happen. He deserves to find love, he never asked for this." I said quietly, and she nods.

"What do you need Kam to do?" she asks, knowing I'm not good with speaking, so she didn't want to make a big deal out of it. I was very grateful for her.

" I need you to have Sylas show you where Logan's house is, and then I need you to have Kam watch out for it, give them thirty minutes to pack enough once he gets home, and then if the coast is clear, and he didn't tell anyone, you and Kam need to get the two of them out. Jaxson and I will cover the inside. I need to get Gunther, Levic, and Sobbis out at the same time. Sobbis being five, I can carry him. Gunther's a guard, so he can move fast, and Levic's a bit of a slow runner, but he'll know to high tail it. " I laid it all out there to try to make sense of it, because the more that it rumbled through my mind, the more I got a headache. All I wanted was a good vein to tap at the moment, just to relax. Mellissa nodded.

"I'd ask if you needed help from Crimson, but we can't just leave your sister and brother out in the woods alone." she said as she also tried to calculate it all. Having five people sneak out of a very highly watched building, was not going to be easy. But I knew I could do it.

"It wouldn't help anyways. I know that Gunther would go with Jaxson, or Crimson or you, but Levic? He has serious trust issues with others not family, and obviously most family. So there's no way he'd move without me by his side. Sobbis, I met earlier, and Sylas already talked to him, so I need to be there specifically for Levic and Sobbis at the same time. It's just a big cluster in the first place." I said, and Mellissa took a deep breath.
