Skylet's Point of View
Being locked up and auctioned off day after day after day is not fun, I'll tell you that. I've been here maybe three, four months now? I've lost count. At first I tried plucking a feather out of my wing for every day I was here, but came to the conclusion that sooner or later I would have no wings left whatsoever. After the first week or so the cell guard told me to put my wings away unless I wanted them ripped off. Without a minute to spare I folded my wings away back into my back and they haven't been out since. How I long to stretch them out and be free, soaring in and out of the clouds, trailing along the cool breeze of a summer's evening... oh how I imagine. Gosh, who knows how much longer I'll be here for. And for those wondering why us Angels just sit here and take it, well, the Demons radiate such evil power off them, they breathe power and eat leadership. And us, the angels, a much kinder, quieter and more peaceful species cower down and let them control us. Using us as slaves. But we do come as a high price. The demons sometimes buy us to boast to others about how rich they are. Then others sometimes buy us for much more personal, yet horrible needs of theirs.
Angels are naturally such a pure and innocent species, and how we long to remain that way. But no angel would stand up to the demons. They have the government. They make the laws. And Laws are there to obey. And that's how my life goes.
Waiting. Obeying. That's it really.
Well, that's what I thought anyway.
