Senior Billu's Wrath

--

"Mumma, when will papa come?"

Licking off chocolate from his hands, little Aarav asked his mother who was engrossed in watching some action-packed Bollywood movie on TV.

"Let's hope he doesn't come anytime soon," Annika replied distractedly. Aarav's face formed a cute frown.

"Kyu?" He asked with a pout. Some chocolate dripped off his hands and onto Shivaay's expensive silk sheets.

"Because," Annika replied as she took some tissue from the end table and wiped the chocolate from the bed, before giving up and covering the spot with a pillow, "He will scold the both of us for eating on the bed." Annika had a packet of Lays open beside her and crumbs of the potato chips were scattered all over the bed. Aarav giggled at his mother's reply even as the mother-son duo continued eating.

Unfortunately for them, Shivaay's meeting ended early that evening, and he entered the room with a smile in the hopes of seeing the beautiful faces of the two people he loved the most. Instead, he was met with a sight that made his face contort into a scowl.

"Annika! Aarav!"

As if on reflex, Annika and her Junior Billu kept their hands over their ears, and only removed them when Shivaay had stopped yelling at them for ruining his bed.

They were used to it, really.
