Mikah had never liked the smell of medicine, that familiar scent never fails to suffocate him, so despite his decisions appearing to be rude or stupid, he always refused to go to the hospital.

It was only when the rush of adrenaline had masked his senses that he had rudely intruded into his sister's hospital room.

But now that he calmed down, as much as he'd like to, he wouldn't step a foot near that room, the smell he had always hated combined with the undue pressure and false guilt he felt told him not to.

And so he decided to wait by the hospital's garden, the hospital had took advantage of it's rather large entrance and turned the empty space into a small garden

It was in fact well taken care of with a few benches facing plants as it was believed that the patients would rather not have to look at more faces during their break, which was... understandable.

Mikah took in the peaceful scenery and yawned, allowing his train of thought to fade into nothing as the warm, soft sunlight made him sleepy.

He had unwillingly ignored varieties of people passing by and chatting, but it was only when he caught himself nodding off, rubbing sleep off his eyes that a pair of nurses stood next to him.

Mikah mentally named them One and Two to distinguish them easily.

The two females seemed to be talking about something that caught the One's interest, judging by her awestruck expression, while the Two didn't seem very into the conversation despite her starting it.

Two clearly regretted her choice as One had enthusiastically and very much loudly spoke to her friend, he arms wildly animating her speech.

Mikah unconsciously leaned in closer to listen, it wasn't acceptable to eavesdrop but believe it or not, hospitals were the best for that kind of thing.

"She then told Leila that she 'lived a whole life' in Germany after giving birth in here, she was actually in coma for couple of weeks, her husband also said that she never in her life stepped a foot in Germany! it's nuts but it was hard to not believe when she just, started to blurb out German all of a sudden!

Then then! There's this one in the clover hospital with this old man who had a heart attack right after waking up from a coma, a doctor working there is my friend, she told me that he told them that-" One took a deep breath.

"He was reincarnated in Africa and all of a sudden he woke up again in here one night, it's so strange!! He even gave such trivial detail about where he lived and his neighbors, no one with the names he mentioned even existed though...!!"

Mikah's back collided with the bench, it was good gossip but honestly it would be a good bedtime story at most, patients could very much be just make up those stories.

It's not like he was against those beliefs about the supernatural and the unknown, but come on, reincarnation? Even if it was real how would they even be still alive if their souls are elsewhere?

Two, who seemed to adopt his thinking, heaved a long sigh and spoke, "I already heard about that stuff, it's called reincarnation syndrome, the patients would believe themselves to have a second life, a couple even tried to kill themselves in order to test their hypothesis, one of them successfully did so

I heard they think that it's the result of a very specific dose of some medical drug, I can't really remember the name but it's quite common... well it's just a theory at most, no one said that it was definitely the case."

"Whoaaa..."

'whoaaa indeed, when did the human brain learn to do all that flashy stuff with some medical drug yet I can't use it to get a passing grade for God's sake' Mikah chuckled.
