“Well, congratulations.” The Doctor said as he looked outside.

“Shut up,” she said.

“I mean it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone be this far off before.”

“Shut up.”

“I mean it-”

“Shut up! I’m going, I’m going.”

“Yes. Probably a good idea. Those people don’t look that friendly.” He shut the door as the ammunition flew towards his head.

River ignored him as she flicked some switches. He had that stupid, stupid grin on his face as he walked around to the other side of the console and helped her. They materialised, smoothly this time, back where they had started – thereabouts.

The Doctor looked at the screen. “Ah, so we’re only three days after I landed.”

“That’s three days we don’t have to wait.” River pointed out, still annoyed.

“Oh, yes.” The Doctor smiled and the message between them was clear – he had been right, and she had been wrong. She looked away.

“So,” the Doctor said, stretching. “Two days left. What do you wanna do now?”

River smiled cattishly. “Let’s go visit some ‘old’ friends.”
