Title: ~Catching Mr. Cat~

“Mr Cat! Come back!”

The tranquil silence was broken by a shrill voice that echoed through the trees. I looked around to see a cat jumping at me. He landed right in my lap and purred happily. “Oh, hello friend.”

Nilesy appeared from out of nowhere and stopped just short of my deck to catch his breath. “P-Panda!” He exclaimed breathlessly. “How did you catch that little bastard?”

“Catch him?” I ask, rubbing the cat under his neck. “He came right to me.” Smiling and laughing, I stand up and bring the cat to him. “I guess I’m just good with cats?”

He takes it gratefully but you can tell he’s annoyed at how easy it was for me. “Maybe but I doubt it. Thanks for helping though.”

“You’re welcome, I guess.” I reply, thinking I really didn’t do anything. “He sure ran far. Did you seriously chase him all the way out here?”

“I had to.” He answered as he grumbled. “It’s so difficult to catch enough fish just to get a single cat to follow me. This one ate like thirty of them!”

“Wow.” I say, very surprised. “I would rather become a dog person than do that.”

He squints at me in confusion. “But I thought you were a panda person?”

“I’m a panda!” A grin crosses my face. “But that doesn’t mean I’m a panda person.”

He rolls his eyes. “I doubt that. What are we even talking about?”

“I don’t even know. So since you are here. Want to hang out or something?” I ask.

Shaking his head, he’s sighs. “I wish I could but I need to get this little annoyance back. “

The little annoyance was very strained. He definitely wanted to say something much worse. “Mmm, I understand but hey, come over sometime. You know, without being led here by a cat.”

He rolls his eyes again and nods. “Sure. We’ll go on a date.”

“Okay!” I say happily. “You better not forget."

“I would never forget.” He says, winking at me as he swiftly turns to walk away. “Bye panda!”

“Bye!” I say, waving him away until he disappears from view.
