My new people put me in a small box stall with some old hay in a hay bag, water, bedding, and a little feed in a small bin in the corner. The name on the stall says 'star.'on it but underneath it says 'star dancer.' I have a name. I think excitedly. I bounce up and down in my stall. Board. Soon the small girl comes back out and looks at me. I shy away from her "your pretty" she says calmly. She sits on a small ledge next to my door. 'who said you could stay.' I think irradiated and wishing I could speak. I snort at her and pin my ears. She starts talking. After a while she leaves and I soon grow tired and fall asleep near the back of my stall.

I hear a soft click and I watch a human dump something into my bucket and I pin my ears. There is a small bit of food in the bottom of the bin. I eat it slowly enjoying each bite. There's less food then I got at my old place so its gone soon leaving me hungry and wanting more. I watch as each horse is given a small bit of food and some none at all. I snort and watch the human. The human looks at me then leaves coming back with a saddle and bridle. I pin my ears and back away. The human opens my door and walks in. I strike out and him and he hits me. He throws a saddle pad over my back then followed soon by a saddle. I hear a few horses whinny and neigh at me in sympathy as I am led passed. I pin my ears and snort at them. The human gets on and jabs me in the ribs with some spurs almost hard enough to draw blood. I rear and launch forward leaving the human behind he makes a strange noise as he hits the ground. the door to the house opens and the other human comes out. "brother you are not to ride her! she is not going to be one of your old broken horses! she's mine." she yells at the other human.
"What are you going to do with her hmmm!" he shoots back.
"I was planning to sell her she would get a very nice price! Maybe even be enough to save the rest of the horses! Its not everyday you see a piebald thoroughbred!"
"why not race her." the boy says calmly. She nods slightly at that before walking away....
