"Princess Evangelina! Where are you?" The loud, comforting voice of my frightened maid called down the long corridors, into my dark room that I had grown accustomed to. I perked my head up, and there she was. I did have a small crush on the maid, as she was a year younger than me and we had bonded while she was here. Though, there were two problems with this story. One, two girls being together could get you hanged, as it's a pretty big sin. Two, it's also bad to be with someone with a smaller economic level than you, which would be bad for us. Princess and a maid, which have big economic differences. I didn't even believe in the idea of heaven or hell, because if those places keep me from my happiness than they don't exist to me. My oversized dress's shiny edges had made me incredibly visible to the maid, whom was named Ally. Ally was a brunette girl with shiny green eyes, the same eyes that I had fallen for. The feelings I had for her were in fact mutual, which was why she always came to check on me. I noticed her eyes, filled with fear and sadness but with that slight joy in them at the same time. I stood up and walked over to her, holding both of her hands, and kissing her cheek.

"Don't worry." I soothed, as I knew she was nervous with the idea of someone finding out about our secret relationship. I don't know why she worried so much, as I'd protect her. She was the first person who made me feel safe and secure with my emotions, so I'll make sure she's safe and secure in general. "They'll never find out until we're safe and far away from here."

"But Princess.. You can't possibly leave.. You're the only child to take the throne."

"Then they can just make another. It wasn't that hard, was it?" I responded, and Ally rolled her eyes playfully.

"You have a point there, Princess. But you got to be more careful! Someone will find out if you don't be careful."

"You worry too much." I told her, calmly. "Nobody will know."
