"But Evangelina.. You can't ensure that." Ally spoke, tears forming in her beautiful green eyes. I shook my head softly, as I knew she wasn't wrong. I can't ensure that nobody knows, I can't say that we'll make it, but I won't hide that I love her. Nobody can make me afraid of a God who made me like this, but will judge me for being how he made me. Ally might be a maid, and I might be a Princess, but that shouldn't matter. I crave to see the day when I'm running from this dreaded kingdom, Ally in my arms, as we finally find a safe place to be ourselves.

"I know, but I'll make sure you're safe." I told her, cupping her wet cheeks with my hands. I hate seeing her like this, so upset, so.. Vulnerable. She continued crying but I heard my father's armour's footsteps on the carpet, most likely coming to my room. I kissed her forehead, and I pushed her onto my bed and I quickly put the blanket on her. She seemed confused, until she heard my father.

"Evangelina? What are you doing?" He asked, and I shrugged.

"Just making my bed, as I decided to give Ally a break."

"Why? That's legitimately why she lives and works here." He spoke, and I fought down a glare.

"Well, you got to be nice sometimes, father." I then closed my door, and turned on my lights and my door lock. "See? We're okay."

"Yeah.." She sat up, clearly terrified. "But what happens when we can't lie anymore?"

"We'll worry about that, when it happens." I told her, and she sighed once again.

"Evangelina. You become the queen in eight months. You can't risk yourself like this."

"Yes, I can." I started. "Because once I become queen, I can and will change the rules around here."

"Please, Evangelina.. I don't want you to get hurt.." She held onto my hand, as she had gotten up and stood beside me during her statement.

"I'll be more hurt without you, Ally." I spoke, softly. She nodded, as I pulled her into a side hug and I kissed her forehead.
