"Evangelina, I forgot to tell you something." My father spoke, his voice as cold as ice. I nodded, so he continued. "Your mother and I have decided to throw you a ball, as this would be your celebration for becoming the queen."

"Really?" I asked, and he nodded.

"It's tonight. We decided you should be ruling early."

"Why?" I asked, and he tensed up, once again. I was really confused, as I really didn't want to rule early. "I don't want to be the queen early though."

"Too bad." My father stated, his voice even colder. "You will be ruling by tomorrow afternoon."

"But I don't want too." I told him, and he sighed.

"Why not?" He asked, and I shrugged.

"Because, I just think it's weird. First you didn't really want me to rule, but now you want me to rule early." I explained, and he go up and left. I knew they were up to something, I could just feel it in the atmosphere. "What are you two hiding, mom?" I asked my mother, who sat on seat away from me. Yes, that one seat was my father's seat.

"Nothing! Sweetie." She smiled and answered quickly, which caused me to be extremely certain that they were in fact hiding something. She was just suspicious, you know? It's like a strong vibe that something's wrong. She sighed, and I started crying.

"I don't want to rule early! I don't want to be with Chloe! I want Ally!" I cried, and once again, my mother sighed.

"Sweetie, I have to tell you something. But, you must promise not to tell your father, or overreact and leave."

"O-Okay?" I promised, and she took a deep breath in.

"They found your maid, alive, yesterday. She was at this weird motel outside of the kingdom." My mother explained, and my jaw dropped. Ally?

"Was it Ally?" I asked, and she nodded.

"Yes, yes it was."
