We stood there for a while just looking at each other. Her eyes were hazel and they were so inviting and..
Oh right. This might get awkward. I better talk. "uh hey, do you wanna go sit in the living room?"

"hm?" She said breaking from her own daydream. "Oh, yeah sure." I gave her room to sit on the sofa and then I sat beside her. "So, uh, do you know what school you're going to?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm going to.. shoot I forgo the name. I'm going to.." She tried to remember as she did this cute little face. "That school next to the.. cinema. You know where it is?"

"Of course I do! That's my school!" I say enthusiastic. "Really? Cool! Now I know that I know someone at school." She says smiling.

I chuckle lightly and, I don't know where it came from, but a wave of confidence took over me. "Have you gotten the chance to meet the surroundings yet?" "No, not yet.." She answered maybe already knowing where i was going with this.

"Hun?" Her mom interrupted us. "Say your goodbyes. We're leaving." "Maybe next time." I whispered so only Diana would hear. She nodded with a smile. "See you soon, Miles."

I walked her to the door and said goodbye to everyone as I watched them leave. "Nice people, uh?" My mom asked as she closed the door. "They brought cake."

"Yeah, they're nice." I say walking to the kitchen and grabbing a slice of cake. "It's pretty good actually." I smiled at my mom and then went went up to my room. Since I couldn't fall asleep again, I opened my blinders and when I looked out the window, I couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing.

I mean, I already knew Diana lived next door, but that her bedroom was right next to mine? That's some great news.

She was moving some boxes so I decided not to bother her. I can believe that a girl like her was my new neighbor. Thanks god!

"Hey Miles?" My mom called from downstairs. "Yeah?" I answered. "Ethan is here!" She shouted back. "I'm coming!"

I took a last look at Diana, and then ran downstairs with a smile on my face. "Where does that smile comes from, Miles?" Ethan teased me. "Does she have a name?"

"Dude." I say punching his arm but then giving up. "Yes, she does. It's Diana."
