I was waiting on Miles to go to work but since he wasn't showing up, I tried calling him multiple times. He didn't anwser any of them so I decided to leave a voicemail and go by myself.

From all the days he could choose to get late, why did he had to choose this one? Today was the première of ''Thor: Ragnarok'' on the big screen and besides, he has been late so many times that it suprises me that he hasn't been fired yet.

"Here. Enjoy your movie." I say as I give 2 sodas and large popcorns to one of the costumers and get the next one's order. "Hey, what can I.. Beca? Uh, hi!"

"Uh, hey Ethan. I'd like two large popcorns and a water please." She says as I notice the guy next to her with his arm around her shoulders. "That will be 9 dollars." I say. "I'll pay." The dude intervened as he took the money out of his wallet and puts it on the balcony. "Keep the change."

"Uh okay.. thanks.." I say taking a big breath and give them their order. "Here it is."

"Bye Ethan!" Beca waved as she walked away with her arm around he's waist. Ugh.

I don't know why I still like her to be honest. She keeps dating all this guys and not giving a crap about me. I wish we could go back to when we were 8 and she was this sweet selfless girl that I fel in love with. But that isn't how things work, is it?

"Hey dude, does he know I'm late?" Miles says as rushes to put on the work attire. "Miles! Where have you been dude?" I ask. "Couldn't you come in a little earlier and save me from this embarassement?"

"Sorry, I got caught up in time talking with Diana. Her room is a window away from mine, you know?" He says daydreaming. "I'm glad one of us is still with his head in the clouds..." I say but fastly change the subject. "Our work hee is down. Wanna go in and see the movie?"
"Hm, sure." Miles anwsered with a sympathetic smile on.
