Erza didn't know why Jura kept drawing...

He'd only played one card this entire game and that was to attack her...

It seemed more than a bit suspicious.

Mirajane clearly knew something way up too and they kept it laying cards to delay him.

They played skips several times and Mirajane had even played an attack card on him earlier.

The man hadn't even played a defend card.

It was possible that he didn't have one...

But he had to many cards in that hand of his that it was definitely not likely.

While he seemed to be going for as many cards as possible, Jenny was going for the opposite.

It seemed like she knew that she could not win from brute strength and was instead going to the other option.

Running out of cards.

She had been down to two, and had had that insufferable smirk on her face, when both Mirajane and Minerva had played a draw three on her.

That had cleared that smile off of her face real quick.

Kagura didn't seem to be going for either option, instead going with the more offensive tactic and playing attack cards as often as possible.

She'd already hit Minerva, Jura, and Jenny once each.

Mirajane and Erza exchanged a glance across the field.

They could both read those expressions.

They'd fought often enough as children to know when the other was planning something.

They might be conspiring a bit, but they were both still clearly planning to fight the other as soon as possible.

They just had to get rid of the rest of their competition first.

They'd done that many a time when they were younger.

Jura drew another card and a small smirk played on his lips as he put it with the rest of his cards, positioning it to the far left.

That was something he had done with several other cards before...

Now that was disconcerting alright.

Mirajane had to know what he had that was making him smirk so much.

Her next turn, she searched through her cards for one that could show her his hand.

She found none.

She growled and let out a sigh before placing down a protect spell to prevent anyone from hitting her with an attack.

Erza raised an eyebrow at her, but she did the same on her next turn.

Jura didn't seem bothered... and that made it worse somehow.

The fact that he didn't seemed worried was... well, it was worrying.

Kagura seemed to be conspiring against Minerva as she played a second attack card on the woman.

She seemed to have not have forgotten the last time they had fought.

Especially the part about the Sabertooth member capturing her girlfriend.

Minerva took the attack, barely flinching despite the pain.

She crawled to her feet as the gravity attack disappeared.

She wouldn't admit just how much that had hurt.

Of course she wouldn't.

She was a tad bit too headstrong to do such a thing.
