Everybody leaves their trace on this planet.
We weave the tapestry of the world, changing history as we go along.
You may not have done anything you think is significant, that you have not made an impact.
That is not true.
Every small deed you do, every act, good or bad, that you commit, changes the world in some way.
Sometime in the future, possibly near, possibly far, someone will still remember what you have done.
Maybe you will find a cure for some disease or other.
Maybe you will become a horrible tyrant, like Hitler.
Maybe you will invent a new and astounding technology.
Maybe you will create or discover something incredible.
We don't know yet.
One day, you will do something amazing.
No matter how badly you have it today, no matter how horrible your conditions are.
Those shape who you are, and if your situation were different, maybe you won't do your amazing thing, maybe you'll do something else.
The only way to know what you will do to leave your mark... Is wait.
Wait patiently for your glory day to come.
But in the mean time, talk, travel, experience, laugh, love, learn, meet new people, try new things.
Do as much as you can to enjoy your life, to discover what you're passionate about, so you can eventually leave the traces of your life behind for the next generation of humanity to discover.
If you cannot do any of that, for reasons imposed on you by the awful parts of humanity, then bide your time.
Bide till you can break free of the bad times you experience.
Bide till you can demonstrate the full extent of your intelligence, your compassion, your experience, any of the amazing qualities you have.
Because everyone has amazing qualities.
Hell, even Hitler wasn't one hundred person bad, he killed all those people because he thought he was doing something good (granted he was completely off his rocker, but still)
You will make it.
And you will leave your mark.
A/N: This one is particularly long to make up for the particularly short poem in the previous chapter
