Badass Cora

Chapter 7

Cora's POV
I couldn't believe my eyes, it wasn't possible. Why is he here? All the memories I had of him came back to me.
All he had done to me. My heart began beating faster than normal. Weirdly I missed him. I couldn't seem to control my breathing.
My ands were trembling as I touched my bracelet.

"Now calm down dear. The game just only began. I just decided to be the first to welcome you." The voice I thought I would not hear for a while spoke again.

"What do you want father?" I said trying to push the memories away but was failing terribly.

"Why don't you come with me I want to show you something." He said.

I don't know why I didn't run or fight. I just followed him. Followed the man that had cause me so much pain. Followed the man that destroyed my happy family.

We went to the alley outside and I instantly remembered this place. It was the place Zeus save me from X and his brothers. I looked round and everything that happened that night began to play again.

"You remember this place right?" This was where you left me. Left your family. And now you're back. The question is are you still the same child that wouldn't hurt her family even if they hurt her. Or have you changed." He said coming close to me.

The worst part is I don't know if I have changed or not. But I knew I couldn't hurt my family. I don't have the guts to hurt my family. And that may never change. I watched my father come close to me. We maintained eye contact I felt he was going to do something but I didn't move I felt like the prey again, a prey that couldn't defend herself.

Then he slapped me so hard that I fell to the ground. "You may have changed to everyone else, You may have put on a mask that you a tough. But with me you are weak very weak. I am just glad that didn't change."

I didn't get up. I know trying to get up will only make him angry, I know the routine. He pushed me so I could lay on my back and look at him. I needed a plan.

"Your new little friends are coming so I have to leave. I have gotten what I want to know. Now sleep well my dear. Ohh, before I forget welcome to the game."

Then he punched me right in the face and everything went black.

Zeus's POV
"Are you kidding me?" I yelled trying to get dressed. How could she do something like this. I know it's her, it has to be. Who else will make our mission identity get delayed. The question is why. Why on earth will she do it.

"Zeus, you need to hurry, I just got information that Cora's father will be at the bar." Logan said through the door.

"Shit."

We got to the bar as fast as we could. We looked around for someone that looks like her or acts like her.

We searched everywhere but wasn't able to find her.

"Let's go check the back, maybe she could be there." Luca suggested.

"Okay" I agreed.

We all went to the back and saw Cora's father punch her in the face. He looked at us and smiled very mysteriously then he left. The guys went after him but they couldn't find him which was weird. I mean it's a dead end, how could he have just disappeared.

I went over to Cora and picked her up. Then I looked around me and realized it was the same alley I first saw her, the place I saved her.

"Is she breathing?" Luca asked.

I nodded "why don't you guys stay and look around, see if you can get any information. That can lead us to the next step in this case. I will get Cora to the house."
