Badass Cora

Chapter 12

Zeus's POV
"Hello" I said immediately I picked up the phone.

"Alley... Cora' father...injured... unconscious."

"Luca, Luca. Hey...Luca." I yelled. I don't know what's happening. He couldn't finish his sentence. Hell he could barely talk. But I didn't cut the call.

"What's going on?" Xander asked.

"Call the organization now. Cora and Luca are in danger. It has something to do with Cora's father." I said, immediately Xander  took out his phone. "Logan the line is still on, can you trace it."

"Yeah. Just give me two minutes." He said and got out his laptop.

"They are not too far from here. Go. I will send you the directions." Logan said. "I will also get and ambulance own there for you. We will be there in a few minutes."

I took my phone and got out of the room. This is all my fault. I got Cora upset and she left and Luca went to find her. Now they are both in danger.

I got the directions immediately. And made my way to an alley. What is it with Cora's always been unconscious in alleys.
I took out my gun and went in. I saw both Cora and Luca all bloody and wounded.

I made sure no one was in the perimeter, then I went to were they laid. I squatted down beside both of them, taking in their injuries. I caressed the left side of Cora's face with my hand. Even when beaten up and unconscious and bloody she was still very beautiful. She looked so vulnerable. So helpless. And her face looked peaceful. Even though her mind wasn't. I mean who would with a father like hers.

When I first saw her fighting three good for nothing men. I knew she was badass. I didn't know who she was but I wasn't going to let them hurt her anymore. When she looked into my eyes and I looked into hers all I saw was pain though she didn't have tears in her eyes.

The sirens brought me out of my thought. I stood up immediately and saw Logan and Xander's car, the ambulance and some police cars packed just in front of the alley. They all got down and got to work. The policemen knew exactly who was responsible for this. I could see fear in their eyes. And I couldn't blame them.

Everything one in this city is terrified of Mr. Rains except me of course. Even Cora is scared of him and I don't get it. I mean if I were her, I would be so filled with anger and rage, there will be no room for fear because like her I won't have anything to lose.

But that's the opposite of Cora. She scared of him. Why?

Ahhhh.....Fuck......Why is this mission so complicated?!!!

"How is she doing?" I asked the doctor.

"She will be fine. She should be awake tomorrow or the day after." He said. But I really doubt that. She will be awake before then. She is strong. And she knows that there is much at risk if she doesn't wake up.

"What of the guy?"

"It will take about two to three days before he wakes up. He got hit pretty bad."

"Okay, Can I go see her now?"

"Yes, the last door on the left." The doctor said pointing down the hall.
