Cora's POV I woke up and checked if Zeus was sleeping beside me. I was a little disappointed that he was not, but he had been, maybe he stood up and went to his room. I checked the time and it was 12pm. I have never slept this long in my life. 'What is wrong with you Cora. How the hell did you let your guard down in front of everyone yesterday, you even want Zeus be beside you. What the hell, have you forgotten your father is not dead? When I was satisfied with the way I looked I went downstairs with my bag.
I got downstairs and saw the guy all on their gadgets. Xander and Logan were playing video games, Luca on his Laptop and Zeus tapping away on his phone. Seeing Zeus made me remember what happened last night. Shit, I let him in my room and he held me. I can't believe I allowed Zeus touch me. I just have to tell him nothing was up if he asked. Which seemed like a good plan. But it will only make him ask more questions."
I shouldn't have gone with a team. I should have done this alone. I mean they are my family.
I know my mission is too take down my father and I know it will bring back a lot of memories but I think I can... "Cora are you okay?" Xander asked pulling me out of my thoughts.
I looked his way and found out all eyes were on me. "It's Stone." I said with a blank face as usual. They all had this look on their faces, confusion. I could tell they were trying to figure me out.
"What's up with you?" Zeus asked.
"Yeah, what wrong? You weren't like this yesterday." Luca said.
I just about had enough of this. I was already getting pissed. "Okay that's enough. Yesterday was a mistake. I am fine. But that's none of your business Agent Rider and Agent Luca. So please will you all mind your damn business." I said with a stern voice and a blank face.
This time they were shocked. I just rolled my eyes. Why can't they stop staring at me, I was getting angry but not at them but myself?
"Since you guys have no better thing to do then stare at me like a fucking baboon. What time are we leaving for the mission and what is my cover?" I asked all of them.
