Chapter 2: Serious Talk

Tom POV

"HURRY UP, WE NEED TO TALK BEFORE WE GO!!" Anna yells up the stairs

"Okay, i'm coming'" I say while straightening my tie

I come down the stairs, and turn into the living room, plopping down on the couch. I am not prepared, I mean how could I be?

"What'd you need to talk about?" I feign a smile

"We need to talk about Darkfield..." she gives me a look of pure curiosity

"What about her?" I demanded to know why she would dare to bring up my dark past

"What exactly happened that day?" She had no idea......

3 Years Ago

 Brenna POV

 I look around to see everyone having a great time, but one guy caught my attention, the only well dressed one here actually. He was wearing a black suit and a fedora... he was kinda cute, in a dorky kind of way. I decide to walk over and talk to him.

"H-hi there." i don't know why I was nervous, maybe it was the drinks...

"Hey, what's up?" he replied

"I saw you standing over here, why are you all alone?"

"Hmm, I guess i'm just a loner. I don't usually do anything at these parties, my sister usually makes me come to these parties to get out."

"Aw, so you don't enjoy it?" I laughed and punched his arm

"I never said i didn't enjoy it!" he finally smiled and chuckled. His smile was so cute.

We talked almost all night. Never about any one thing too long, just talking. It was so nice to just have a good time with someone. When the sun came up, we were still laughing and talking until eventually we passed out.

Tom POV

 I woke up with the sun shining brightly in my eyes, and someone next to me. We were outside?

"W-what? Where am I?" I had no clue what had happened the night before.

I look around to see that the person next to me was a girl. I don't remember anything. She starts to stir in her sleep, I get up to go take a piss and shut the blinds, once I get back I go back to bed next to the girl next to, I'll ask her what happened last night when she wakes up. I wake up and it's noon I look over she has her arm around me and she looks at me and says "good morning sunshine" and I stare at her and give a little smile, she smiles back and scooches towards me and starts cuddling with me.

Two months later...

I walk home because my cars in a shop, what I did was crash it when I was drunk, everyone was fine but when I got home and the door was wide open and everything was trashed, I wasn't worried I call my buddy and ask "is she gone?" he tells me it's done I walk out of my home and take one last look into it and leave to never look back again.
