Letting It All Sink In

"Ugh... What the-?" Slowly, Casey wakes up, managing to sit himself up before feeling a sharp pain that caused him to hit the floor. His eyes dart around the room, trying to take everything in; a bed, a small wardrobe, a bedside table that had a small lamp on it, a small digital clock and a doormat. He looked like he was in a bedroom of some sort. It looked actually kinda cosy... but a sickening feeling began to arise in his stomach.

Where the hell was he?

With another small groan, he manages to sit himself up and look at the digital clock. 11:25am it read. He rolls his eyes; how long had he been knocked out? Long enough to be dragged into this room, apparently. Summoning all his strength, Casey gets up and onto his feet, looking out the window that was just over his bed. He could tell he was high up just by taking one glance at the very low down trees.

"Okay... where the fuck am I?" he curses under his breath, and finally turns to the door. There wasn't anything left to see within his room; at least, nothing of high importance. As soon as he turned to the door, he could see there was a note. "Ah ha, maybe I'll get some answers!" he cheers quietly, and grabs the note, pulling it off the door.

Hello Casey. You probably don't know where you are. Do not worry or panic, all shall be explained soon. Head down to the main hall before lunchtime comes around; you'll know where to go, there's a few arrows pointing the way. Best of luck.

"Well THIS doesn't help at all!" with a frustrated groan, he sits down on the bed. "No answers to anything!" But, with a sigh, he gets up and opens the door. He may as well follow what the note says; after all, something could go wrong if he didn't. Almost immidiately, he notices the arrows that the mysterious note was talking about. Picking up the pace, he starts to rush through the corridors and into a large main hall, where nine more people were standing and waiting.

"Hey, here's the last one I think!" Cheers one of the girls. She has light blond hair that's tied up in a ponytail, hazel eyes and a big grin. She wears a yellow and white striped shirt and some jeans with yellow and white Nike trainers on. A guy turns to look at the blondie, as if to say 'shut up'. He's the only one who doesn't have pale white skin, and has a no nonsense look on his face. He has short black hair and blue eyes, and he wears a blue shirt, black trousers and blue shoes.

"Is he the last one? Are you sure there isn't anymore?" Another girl pipes up. She has bright ginger hair, chocolate brown eyes and wears a deep yellow t-shirt with denim shorts and black boots. The blond girl nods.

"I'm pretty sure; remember that note we got said there was 10 people, and there's ten people now!"

Casey chuckles. "Well then, this is a better time than never to say... Hi!!" he waves at the group of people. The girls all wave first, some of them quite eager, and then the boys slowly wave back. "Okay, does ANYONE know where we are?"

"None of us know; we literally woke up in a bedroom, got a note to come here and.. well, here we all are. I take it your perspective was the same?" the ginger girl tilts her head with curiousity as she asks him the question. He nods quietly. "Alrighty then, so should we do introductions?"

"Alright" says the black-haired guy. "Everyone sit in a circle so we're not all over the place." Everyone sits down in a small circle. One or two of them seem to have a notepad and pen with them for some reason. "Who's gonna start us off?"

"I will!" A blond-haired guy raises his hand. He wears a long-sleeved white shirt, black trousers and hiking boots. "My name is Dominic, I'm an Ultimate Traveller and my nickname is Dom."

The ginger-haired girl speaks next. "My name is Maya, I'm an Ultimate Hunter and my nickname is Kitty."

A black-haired woman writes something on her notepad and holds it up. She wears a deep green dress and black heeled boots. "I'm Camille, I'm an Ultimate Camouflager, my nickname is Cami and I'm mute."

"Is that why you have the notepad then?" asks Casey, and Camille quickly scribbles something.

"Yea, thats why I have this notepad and pen."

The man beside her smiles a little, and she gives him a small smile too. They clearly know each other. He wears a black t-shirt, some jeans and some hiking boots as well. "I'm Jarrod, I'm an Ultimate Fighter and I have no nickname."

The other girl beside him brushes some hair out her eyes. She too has black hair, but with a blond highlight in it for some reason. She wears a grey dress and some white heels. "I'm Guin, I'm an Ultimate Skater and I also have no nickname."

"Ultimate Skater?" asks Maya, blowing her ginger fringe out her eyes.

"Yea; as in Ice Skating."

"Ah, I see now."

The blondie grins cheekily. "I'm Lily, I'm an Ultimate Alchemist and my nickname is Lil!"

"Alchemist eh? Impressive!" comments Jarrod, and Lily blushes pink.

"Thanks!"

A girl with white hair starts to carefully write, the blond girl helping her. She wears a black and white striped shirt, black shorts and sneakers. "I'm Rosanne, I'm an Ultimate Animal Tamer, my nickname is Rose and I am mute and blind in one eye." She holds up her notepad and some of the others gasp quietly.

"You're blind in one eye?!" Casey looks shocked. The girl nods and scribbles something else, again with the assistance of Lily.

"Yes I am. Lily helps me write when my eyesight is dodgy."

The guy beside her smiles warmly. He has brown hair, slightly longer than some of the others but still quite short, and wears a long-sleeved purple shirt, black jacket, matching black trousers and purple shoes. "I'm Robert, I'm an Ultimate Programmer, and my nickname is RJ."

The black-haired dude who had ordered them to sit in a circle speaks up next. "I'm Theo, I'm an Ultimate Healer and I have no nickname."

Finally, it's Casey's turn. "I'm Casey, I'm an Ultimate Gambler and I have no nickname either."

Guin raises an eyebrow. "Ultimate Gambler?"

"Yea. Basically I gamble against the biggest opponents in the best casinos and just do whatever it takes to get to my goal; right now my goal is getting out of here."

Camille chuckles and scribbles something on her notebook. "I think that's everyone's goal right now." Casey bursts out laughing and Camille smiles, wishing she could laugh along with him. Jarrod grins and puts a protective arm around Camille. They were obviously very close companions.

Suddenly, a sharp laugh is heard throughout the room, causing Rose to wince and cover her ears. Everyone turns to where the laughter was from, and a creature emerges from the shadows. He looks like he's been stitched up, and his body is different shades of brown. On his chest is a bear head, or at least it looks like it, though not a real one. On the creature's hands are sharp claws that are the length of a katana.

"I see everyone has finally introduced themselves!" laughs the monster. Camille looks terrified, Lily looks confused, and everyone else was in shock. "My name is Grizzaka! Welcome to my temple! Upupupu, you guys are in for the time of your valuable lives! Now, how about we play a game?" as soon as he says that, a sick feeling hits Casey's stomach again. "The game is simple: You live in this temple normally, like you would at home. But at any time, any of you MUST kill another person."

"K-Kill?!" Lily whimpers, shaking from head to toe.

"Yes! Kill! Once someone finds the body, there will be a horn and everyone must go to where the corpse is; this place isn't too big, you'll find it easily. You have half an hour to find any clues that may help you to find who the blackened murderer is. Then, everyone must report to the hall, and then you must decide who the killer was!" Grizzaka laughs again. "If you get it right, the murderer shall be executed! If you guess wrong, the murderer is set free and everyone else will die! Now doesn't that sound despairingly cool?"

Camille's skin goes almost white with fear as she looks at everyone. The only person who was her friend was Jarrod, but despite that, she didn't want to kill anyone! It wasn't in her nature at all! Rose seemed completely white, only her cheeks baring any colour. She was scared witless right now.

"Good luck!" And with that, Grizzaka completely vanishes, leaving everyone sitting there... shocked.
