Shinsou was never good with people, so when he somehow befriended a literal ball of sunshine people had a lot of questions, with his quirk and how shy they typically were people assumed he had used his quirk to make them outgoing. They quickly shut that down going out of their way to confront them with a "He's a good person, and I'm not being forced to do anything. He's the nicest person I know and a hell of a lot more hero-like than you."

The people they were confronting suddenly went still and as y/n turned around they wound up face to chest with Shinsou. They blushed walking off, hoping Shinsou didn't think they were weird for how they acted. He had let them be, unsure of how to deal with not only how they reacted to seeing him, but also his own thoughts. Classes went by slower than usual, either party wary of the others reaction. The walk to the dorms was awkward, the tension was thick in the air and everyone knew it. Y/n walked slightly ahead having a conversation about the latest chapter of a manga they both liked. Kendo, of course, had another thing on her mind.

"So what happened with Shinsou?" She was quiet, trying to avoid alerting him of the conversation. y/n opened the door to the dorm entrance before following Kendo to her dorm room.

"I said some shit to people who were questioning why I hang out with him", they mumbled out. Kendo nodded, the situation finally coming together.

"Well we're gonna fix this", she stood up abruptly before grabbing their arm and dragging them off to Shinsou's room. She knocked on the door while the other had tried to escape, unfortunately, he had opened the door, causing Kendo to shove them into the room. Closing the door she walked off, leaving the two in the tension-filled hell.

"I'm, uh, sorry if I said anything weird." They mumbled out, glancing at the floor and playing with the hem of their uniform. Shinsou scoffed,

"Is that why you didn't say anything sooner?", they nodded and he reached over for their arm. "I didn't think that at all, actually I was flattered." they looked up at him, eyes wide and a look of confusion across their face. They went to speak but were cut off by the taller male.

"Actually I was thinking maybe we could go on a date sometime?" He rubbed at the back of his neck, a blush covering the tips of his ears.

"Yes!", they exclaimed out, louder than intended startling both of them. They grinned at him and gave a vague gesture, a silent question that he answered with a nod resulting in them nearly knocking him over with how much force they hugged him with. "I can't wait for our date."
