Waking up to an eerie silence was unusual for Jungkook. Especially when he was used to all the noise of living with 6 other boys.

Jungkook opened his heavy eyelids and looked around to see that the room had pale blue walls. He raised his arms and ruffled his hair before sitting up.

His head turned to the door when he heard it being opened from the outside. It was his manager looking almost surprised to see him awake.

"You woke up," he said, taking a seat next to the hospital bed.

"What happened?" Jungkook asked with a quizzical expression.

"Don't you remember? You collapsed on stage," the manager said slowly, "In front of a lot of people. It makes my head hurt just thinking about the rumors being spread on social media. Some people are saying the company's been mistreating you, others are saying you have a terminal illness. I never knew someone getting hospitalized could cause such a fuss."

Jungkook scratched his head, but stopped abruptly when he felt a big lump. He hissed, pain pickling over his scalp.

"Oh, be mindful of your head," the manager said quickly, "You smashed it pretty hard when you fell. It's the main reason you were hospitalized. The impact knocked you out cold so they had no choice but to bring you in."

Jungkook winced. How hard had he hit his head? "Where are the others?"

"Back at the dorm. We decided it was best for them not to come visit just yet. They're still pretty shaken up. All the fans screaming Is he dead?" the manager imitated in a high pitched voice, "Kookie Oppa, don't die on me or my personal favorite, Don't die Oppa, our wedding's tomorrow!"

The older let out a hoarse laugh.

"Back to business," the manager said, suddenly all serious, "Jin told me something interesting."

Jungkook gulped.

"He said you were getting frequent migraines, that you refused to get it checked out," he rubbed his eyes, "Luckily, when we got it checked when you first got here, they said it was nothing too bad and that medication would fix it."

"See? I was taking medication and I was doing fin-"

"They were caused by exhaustion and stress," the manager interrupted sternly, "So what I'm implying, is that we stop letting you train in your free time. We still need you practicing and staying fit, but we can't have you practically living in the practice rooms."

Jungkook's mouth gaped open slighty, finding it hard to believe what had just left his managers mouth.

"But-"

"The big boss has agreed on giving you a rest week," the manager continued as if Jungkook wasn't even there, "So not including today, you have 7 days to recover."

"Um-"

"I should probably head back to the dorm," the manager said, "I'll see you soon."

Just like that, he picked himself up from his chair and disappeared through the door, leaving Jungkook confused and alone in his big, cold bed.
