her favorite song play in the car

the first time she told him was at a bar

it came over the speakers

while they were being spring breakers

she danced to it in that dirty way she does

he just couldn't stop smiling at her crazy emotions

she went home that night

but he could see through to her fright

she told him her parents weren't home

he saw that she was scared to be alone

he wanted to be with her through the darkness

she was just to closed off to see his hopefulness.

the next week in science

he could see her difference

for the night before she didn't hurt

but now instead he could see her burn

she went to her locker

and he followed behind her

before he could reach his love

another man came from behind like a dove

he hugged her and smiled

but he could tell she was troubled

he wanted to push him off

but that wouldn't help his cause

so he walked away without a word

now he regrets it but he knows she would want him to move forward
