I go to a gas station right around the corner to get some water. I took some money Edith had on their desk it as around $40. i get a few bottles or water, two family sized bags of chips, a map of America, and a donut. I walk up to the register.

"is that everything?" the man asked.

        "yep." i say very chirpy.

"what would be $7.50." she said i hand her a ten and she hands me back the change

"thank you. this is a weird question can i get a picture with you?" she looks confused.

"can i ask why?" one of her eye brows are raised.

"yeah i am starting over my life and i want to remember all the good and i know this sounds crazy but this is the best day of my life and i want to remember it." i take out my camera

"pleasssssssseeeeee." i can see her start to laugh

        "sure why not." she laughs.

we take a picture together. i wait for it to show.

"thank you so much. can you sigh the bottom of it." i take out a marker out of my bag.

"yeah sure. you know kid you just made my day"  She smiles and sighs the picture. it reads out Sara

"thanks Sara." i leave the gas station with my stuff and walk.

I don't get far till i see a man with a sign that says "will work for food" i go up to him

"hi I'm Abigail would you like some chips." i pull out the bag of chips out of the bag. i see a huge smile on his face. his eyes start to water.

"yes please." he says smiling. i sit next to him and pull out a water.

"here you can this too." he smiles.

"thank you so much i haven't eaten in three days." my smile gets bigger. i am helping this guy. that people probably wouldn't take a second look at.

"so whats your name?" i asked

"Jim i am 57 years old i have three kids that refuse to talk to me and there mother died of cancer ten years ago. that is why i am here." he takes a few more chips.

"so whats your story young lady?" he asked. i take a drink of my water

"i hope it dose make me happy." i said. Jim gets up.

"well you are not going to get anywhere talking to a old man like me." he pulls me and hugs me. he quickly lets me go

"sorry i know i smell." he said

"i don't care." we hug again. we let go of each other.

"can i get a picture with you Jim?"   i take out my camera.

"pick one you want." i said he grabs the one of us marking a silly face.

"this one is my favorite." he said.

"now can you sign this one." i pick up my picture and take out my marker.

"of course and you have to sign mine." he said

"of course." i told him. we sign each others pictures. and hug each other.

"well till next time Jim." i said as i put my book bag on.

"till next time my dear Abigail." he said. i put the picture in my journal next to Sara's picture. i walk off.
