On Thursday, I come to school and meet Minty in the cafeteria for breakfast.

"How's your status with Autumn?" I ask.

"We broke up," she says with her head hung low.

I tilt my head. "Oh?"

"Yes, uh, I couldn't take it anymore."

"Good."

"I guess so."

"At least you've got this burden off of your shoulders."

She smiles. "Yeah, at least I do."

We continued to eat, then went into the gym for morning announcements. We continued with our day as if it were any other. After school, Minty and I hung out at the cemetery.

"How was your day?" she asks me.

I look at her. "It was... good. What about you?"

"It was alright. I mean, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst... that's for sure."

"And that's okay! Things aren't going to get better right away."

"You're right... Thank you, Valerie..."

"No problem Minty,"

After school on Friday, I invite Minty, Destany, Carlea, and Dennara over to have a sleepover.

"Hey boo!" Destany yells as she runs to the basement.

I look over as I'm setting out the snacks. I yell back, "Hey."

Not long after, Minty, Carlea, and Dennara come downstairs, too.

"Hi guys!" I exclaim.

They greet me and we get to talking.

"Caught up in any drama?" I ask. Usually, I stay out of the conversations at school and keep to my friend circle and myself.

Dennara rolls her eyes, "Mhm."

"Oh?"

She goes on about how people annoy her. Once we're all done talking about drama, we watch a couple movies while we post dumb videos of ourselves being funny on Snapchat.

"So, Carlea, anymore of your dreams...?" Minty asks.

"Oh yeah, definitely," she responds.

Carlea has these insane dreams about the boys at school who get on her nerves(AKA all of them.)

We decide to pull an all-nighter and stay up playing videos games, laughing, and talking. By the time that morning comes, we're all hysterically tired.

"That was... hilarious..." Carlea says as we eat the delicious breakfast that my dad made for us.

"I agree," I tell her.

Dennara tilts her head. "Why don't we have sleepovers more often?"

"I don't know," I say. "It'd be fun."

We all nod in agreement.
