[Warning: Foul language]

"Dammit Casey, what else have you been doing since the fucking alien attack?" I shout at my brother who stood awkwardly near the couch. Phone clutched in one hand as I run the other through my hair, Raphael had texted me again. This time asking for Casey, saying they had business with Krang to deal with.

Raphael is the giant turtle I had helped a few weeks ago, after confronting my brother about his latest activities we had really hit it off. He gave me his number before he left and we've been texting ever since.

"(Y/n) there are things you need to know and things you don't, stay out of this," he spat towards me before storming out of the room. What the hell was that? He promised no more secrets, no more sneaking around to save the world without me knowing about it. Obviously he fucking lied.

Grabbing my red leather jacket I stepped outside, slamming the door shut as I went. Running down the sidewalk I found myself in a deserted central park, after the large storm last night most power lines were down causing all power to the park to falter out. Good for me, I guess.

Sitting on the dry grass I leant against a large tree surrounded by high bushes and smaller trees, completely concealed from view of any possible passers. Closing my eyes, hopefully I'd calm down enough to go back home tonight.

The sudden vibrate of my phone going off in my pocket caused me to snap open my eyes and whip the device out. Smiling weakly when I saw Raph's name sprawled across the cracked screen, oddly enough he was calling instead of texting which was unlike him.

"What's up Raph?" I asked harshly when I answered, tonight was not a good night for talking.

"Casey texted April who told me, said you stormed out and he wasn't sure where you went," he sounded worried, well, as worried as Raph could get which wasn't much.

"I'm fine, just needed to get out of the house for a while. I'm in central park if you're down to join," my smile turned into a tight line as I watched a few shadows walk by, completely unaware of my existence which is how I like it.

"I'll be there." The familiar click of him hanging up had me place my phone back into my pocket and sigh, leaning my head back into the tree I stared at the few stars I could see from here. Exited as I was to see Raph in person again I really wanted to be alone, would he pick up on my mood and leave or stay despite it?

A few minutes later I heard someone walking through the bushes behind me, already knowing who it was I didn't bother to stand up. He sat in front of me, concealed by the thick brush nearly as well as I was.

"What made you run?"

A simple question with a complicated answer, as much as I trusted Raph did I really want to reveal my thoughts about my brother and the things he's involved in? I guess I did.

"Casey lied again... He told me he wouldn't do any world saving without telling me and... I'm pretty fucking sure he is." Whispering the last bit I moved so I could look at Raph, only to find him already looking at me.

"First, that language is ammusing to hear you say but unneeded. Second, we're trying to find where Krang went. My brother Donnie has been doing experiments on residue left over from his warship. He thinks that when he cracks whatever he's trying to that we'll find Krang and get rid of him... for good." He explains, I nod but look away.

"That's great, I just wish he would tell me himself ya' know?" This time he nods then shifts so he's less than a foot away. Using one of his large fingers to lift my gaze to his face, his golden green eyes glowing like the center of a flame.

Wiping a stray tear from my cheek he smiled, the scar above his top lip scrunching as he does so.

"I get ya', come on. Lets get you home shall we?" Nodding and wiping a stray tear away he picks me up bridal style and begins running through the city, obviously taking the long way home.

Once he placed me on the metal fire escape - mandated by the city to be there - I had long since stopped crying, standing up we conversed for a few minutes. Him making sure I would be alright, showing his soft side and me assuring him I was, he leapt off the railing and disappeared through the towering buildings.
