Addalynn continued to avoid Bucky at school it had been two months since his dad's surprise visit and he kept his promise he was down every weekend. Bucky attended therapy like his dad asked him to but the therapist was still having trouble getting him to unblock his childhood cause he didn't want to.
He quit going and told his dad that he felt like it wasn't helping when she wants him to talk about his childhood and he just didn't want to. So James said "Then son you need to go to your mom. She has something for you."
"Okay." he said as he hung up the phone.
"Mom help me." Bucky said as she was knitting in the living room.
"Follow me." She said
He followed her into her room as she dug around in her closet and said "You gave me this and told me to trash it cause you wanted nothing to do with the military every again but I kept it because son there is one person in your past that you can't push away because she means the world to you." as she lays a shoe box down on his lap.
He swallowed hard then opened up the shoe box and saw a piece of notebook paper and read their promises and he saw the pictures felt tears fall down his cheeks. "Oh my god.. she oh god no wonder she broke into tears the first day of school." he whispered as he wiped the tears.
Then he saw his bracelet with her initials and he looked down then got up with the shoe box got in his truck and drove over to Addalynn's house. He walked up to her front porch Mark answered the door. "Is um is Addalynn home?'he said
"Yeah she's in her room." Mark said
"Which one is her room." he said
"You can't miss it James it's the one with the big A on the door." Mark said
Bucky walked up the stairs with his box and bit his lip as he knocked on her door. "Come in." she said
He opened the door and he said "Addalynn um I know now that you do know me."
She saw his box and she walked over to him to see what was in his box. "I'm so sorry." he whispered through tears.
"I told you. You looked like someone I use to know did I not." she said as she wiped her own tears.
"I know I'm sorry. I you have to understand I was lost without you. My parents split up because my mom got tired of the military shuffling us around she later told me that it was because I was depressed cause I lost you and she wanted me to have a normal life and my dad wasn't for it so they fought a lot I just kept crying for you." he said
She wiped his tears and she whispered "Shh it's okay..I was gone."
"No I broke all my promises and I'm sorry I'm so sorry Addie Jo." he said through tears.
She took the box from him and sat on her desk then pulled out her scrap book and showed him what she had in memories. He looked through the rest of her book and he said "Geez darlin what the hell happened overseas."
"I don't know" she said
"Well that certainly explains all the languages." he said
"How did you know that?'" she said
"Well um I was hoping that your student file would give me some clue of how we know each other so I broke into the counselor's office and read it and saw how many languages you can speak." he said
"James.." she said
"What anytime I tried to talk to you. You blew me off." he said
"I'm sorry." she said as she looked down
He lifted her chin and he leaned in then kissed her lips she started to kiss back then he rolled his tongue into her mouth and he moaned when hers started to dance with his as they laid back on her bed. He started to move down her neck and started to suck "Oh gosh.." she whispered.
He kicked off his shoes and got in between her legs as he held her hands at her head as they started to kiss again. "Mmm one thing everyone has said that's for damn sure baby doll you definitely did some growing baby" he whispered as he kissed her collarbone then he lifted her shirt and whispered "Damn darlin." as he started to play with breasts.
"James.." she whispered
"yeah baby." he whispered as he kissed her.
"I love you still." she whispered
"I love you darlin sorry it took so long." he whispered as they started to kiss again.
They made out for hours in her bed till they both fell asleep.
