"Hey i'm on my way, sh-" These were the last word Tin heard when the line went dead.
"Can?" Tin stared at the phone with confusion. He was sure he heard a car screeching and honking before the call ended.
He tried calling him again but it said the phone was turned off.
Oh god this is not good so not good. Tin hurriedly grabbed his coat and ran straight to his car.
Meanwhile Ae who was making his way outside noticed a commotion a little further away. There were a lot of gathered around someone, it seemed to be an accident.
But the closer he got to the scene the more his heart started to sink because he noticed way too familiar things on the ground, first the phone then the bag and thirdly...
Then everything seemed to happen in a lightning speed as he dropped his own bag somewhere and ran towards his best friend.
"Out of my way!" He yelled to the crowd that was blocking his way.
"Can! Can oh..how..what the.." He kneeled beside the boy and caressed his bloody face with shaky fingers.
"Can someone call the ambulance we need to take him to the hospital eight now!" Ae seemed to stay rational even though he was on the verge of breaking down right there. Someone from the crowd responded that the ambulance was on their way.
Ae very carefully craddled the boy in his arms as he lifted him off the road since they were blocking the traffic.
Ae sat on the sidewalk with Can in his arms, not caring about the by standers as he waited for the ambulance.
Soon enough the car arrived and they placed Can on the carriage and a few of them asked what happened.
Ae stepped inside the car beside Can after they explained he was his best friend.

At the hospital Ae was pacing back and forth nervously in fron of the room that Can was in.
"Ae!" Pete came rushing in. "I came as soon as you called, how is he?"
Ae managed to keep his cool before but now that his boyfriend was standing in front of him he couldn't hold it in anymore.
He gripped Pete by the waist and tightly held onto him as ugly sobs started rocking his body.
"I..i don't know Pete, the doctors haven't said anything yet and i'm about to lose my damn mind."
"Shh it'll be fine, he's a strong boy." Pete tried to soothe the smaller man.
Tin on the otherhand was already going crazy. He just recieved a call from Pete saying that Can was hit by a car and was sent to hospital but didn't know in what condition he was in.
Tin slammed on the steering wheel and drove as fast as he can to reach the hospital.
He frantically ran to the floor where Can was in and stopped when he noticed Ae and Pete standing there. Ley and her mother were sitting on the chairs, Ley comforting her mother who couldn't control her tears.
"How-how is he?" Tin croaked out his throat feeling dry.
"We don't know yet, the doctors still haven't said anything." Pete said since everyone else were too emotional to talk.
Tin huffed out as he slid down the wall. How could this happen to his baby? What in the world did the precious boy do to deserve this? Perhaps if Can didn't call him then this would've never happened, maybe if he went to pick up Can instead then things would've gone differently. Tin could 't stop blaming himself because he was the main reason this happened.
"Hello? Are Can's family?" A doctor approached them.
Tin quickly stood up. "Yes, how is he?"
"Well firstly since the hit on the head was quite strong he has a concussion, secondly and this is quite bad, he has a broken ankle which means he can't apply any pressure on that leg for about two months and there are minor scratches but i have to tell you he got lucky because this could've ended much worse."
"Excuse me, Can plays football so you're saying he can't play for 2 months?" Can's mother asks in surprise.
"Sadly yes m'am and it might even be longer since the leg needs time to properly recover."
Tin sighed and grabbed his head. He knows exactly how Can will react once he wakes up and hears about it.
"But can we see him now?"
"Yes you may." The doctor said and allowed them inside.
Tin stood in the corner of the room letting the family including Ae and Pete stay beside the boy.
Tin noticed from afar how Can was covered bandages and his right leg was in a cast. All he wanted to do at that moment was to craddle the boy in his arms and kiss his pain away but he couldn't do that. Suddenly he felt like he didn't really belong there so he stepped outside. He stood behind the door trying to calm his breathing as the tears were threatening to spill but he didn't allow it.
After 15 minutes the others finally one by one came out of the room. Can's mother was the last one to leave.
"Oh Tin, why weren't you there?" Ley asked.
"I will go now." He gave her a small smile. She nodded understandingly and left.
Tin hesitantly stepped inside the room as he was finally alone.
He grabbed the smaller boys hand inside his as he sat down beside him.
"This shouldn't have happened to you this is so unfair. Do you have any idea what kind of heart attack you caused me?" Tin softly caressed the boy's cheek. "And now because of this because of me you can't do what you love the most for a long time."
Tin's heart ached looking at the boy. "Please don't ever do this again." Tin stood up and placed a soft kiss on Can's forehead. He stayed like that for a while before he spoke the mext words.
"I love you too much to lose you."
