Lance walked up to the door of the house. Keith's House. He took a few deep breaths, then knocked on the door. A nice looking woman with light brown hair answered the door.
"Who might you be?" She asked sweetly
"I'm Lance," He paused, deciding to leave out the soulmate bit "Keith's friend. Is he home?"
"Oh! Yes I'll go get him! You wait here"

Keith's POV
I sat under my quilt trying to get some sleep, as I was up the night before. I was just falling asleep, when Jess barged into my room. She said that my friend is waiting and she wants me to go with him. Before I explain that I don't have any friends, She rips the quilt off me, and forces me up. I wrap my scarlet blanket over my shoulders and grumpily walked to the door. As the door opens I see a nervous looking lance, his hands fiddling with his shirt sleeves. I immediately turn a dark shade of red, sprint to my bedroom and lock the door. I turn to the mirror by my bed to survey the attire I put myself in the night before. Black sweats, an old faded MCR t-shirt, and some red, knee-length socks. To add to this mess, my hair was literally defying all laws of gravity, going directions that shouldn't be possible. I sighed, praying Lance hadn't have enough time to survey my outfit completely, because if he did, I would never live it down. I quickly change into a black t-shirt, Jeans, and my red jacket, and gather my phone, wallet and book. I climb out my back window and sprint into the small grove of trees behind my house. Once there, I walk to the center and climb an old apple tree. The tree had a flat space between the branches that was hidden from sight by the leaves. This is my go-to hiding spot when I need to be alone, or am just pissed off at the world, which is a lot. When I first moved, I basically lived here, which is why I stashed a cooler, a couple bags of chips, some water, a sleeping bag, pillows, and even a change of clothes, for those nights that I slept up here. As I laid back, leaning on a branch, I stared up at the sky and watched the clouds.

Lance POV
As I wait for the woman, who I assume was his foster mum, to get Keith, I started having thoughts... you know the ones, what if he doesn't wan't to see me; what if he hates me; Ect. but before I can think of more, a very tired, annoyed looking Keith, wrapped up in a red blanket walked up to the doorway. He stood there for a few seconds before seeming to realize Lance was there, and when he did he abandoned the blanket and sprinted away. I could feel my expression drop, but his foster mum just rolled her eyes.
"You can come in if you like, Lance, my name's Jessica, but you can just call me Jess" she said as she walked into the house
As I followed her into the house, she started looking for something, without explaining.
"Ah Ha! Found it" Jess announced as she held up a small silver key
"If you don't mind me asking, whats that key for?" I asked
"Keith's room"
"Why do you need a key for Keith's room?"
"Well he's locked me out way too many times, so I got a key made for times like this" she explained as she unlocked the door and pushed it open. After a few seconds she visibly groaned.
"whats wrong Mrs.Jess?" I asked concerned, as there was no Keith coming out of the room.
"Just Jess, is fine, and Keith climbed out his window again" She said calmly as I started freak out. Jess saw this and told me that he did this all the time, and would be back in a day or two, and that I could look for him if I wanted to, but she had tried and could never find his hiding spots.
Well obviously I was going to look for him so I thanked Jess and set off behind their house, as that was the only direction Keith could have gone without me seeing him. As I walked into the trees I thought about what Jess had said, that Keith ran away all the time, and I wondered,
"What exactly goes on in that boy's head?"
