McGorgeous

Class had ended rather uneventfully, and I entertain the thought of going straight home to relax and watch some Netflix whilst packing up my books. Today has been super stressful, and all I want to do it chill out, especially after everything that happened, like Matthew's taunting and Aiden's... everything.

Wait. Aiden. I have detention with him. Ugh. There goes that plan. I pack up all my things as slowly as I possibly can, before making my way to detention. Before I know it, I'm standing at the doorway of the classroom.

I groan and eventually drag my feet through the doorway heading to my doom, aka detention.

Despite trying to avoid as much eye contact as possible, like magnets my eyes meet his sea green ones, and I can't seem to look away. Aiden shoots me his signature smirk and is just about to open his mouth to speak when another voice pipes up.

"Valerie, fancy seeing you here." Great, just great, it's Matthew the prick. He'll probably invite me to another lacrosse game or drop some sleazy comment.

Trying to ignore him, I glance around the room for a seat as far away from both of them as possible. I smile in success as I spot one at the back of the classroom, and sink low into the seat, preparing to take a nap.

My eyes are just starting to drift closed when I feel something hit me on the head. Why can't I just sleep in peace? I jolt awake in annoyance and look down to find a piece of crumpled paper in my lap. Maybe it's from Aiden?

I open up the note, and raise my eyebrows at the very explicit suggestions scrawled across the small piece of paper in barely legible writing. Great.

Nope, definitely not Aiden's handwriting. I look up to find Matthew looking at me and wiggling his eyebrows. God, what a sleaze.

I quickly crumple the note back up and shove it in my pocket. Rolling my eyes, I once again attempt to get comfortable, but before I can close my eyes another wad of paper hits my arm, except this time it bounces back off and rolls forwards. Crap.

I stand up and move to snatch it back, and I have almost reached it when another hand shoots out and grabs the note before I can get to it.

Huh?

I glance up to look at the owner of the hand. Aiden. He looks at me with curious eyes and then to the note that he's holding.

Crap. I need to get it back. I quickly leap for the note, hoping to catch him off guard, but he only looks at me with an amused expression and holds the note up higher, curse his lean muscular 6 foot frame.

He raises an eyebrow at me and starts to unfold the note.

"NO!" I shout, surprising both me and him, and attempt to rip it out of his hands in vain.

Aiden lets out a chuckle. "What's wrong Gorgeous?" he smirks. "You haven't been writing about me have you?"

So he didn't see Matthew throw the note at me. Shoot, I have to get it off him, before he realizes what's going on. He's the only person at this school who doesn't know about my reputation, and ideally I'd like it to stay that way.

I slump in defeat, and launch myself back into my seat, head in my hands. His eyes soften as he takes me in, realizing that I desperately don't want him to read the note. Aiden smiles reassuringly at me and is about to throw the note in the bin, when Matthew opens his big mouth.

"Aw come on babe, aren't you gonna open my note? I promise I'll be a good time."

I visibly stiffen at his words and I can tell Aiden notices. His green eyes darken and before i can stop him he opens the note. Oh no. Even without speaking, I can see that he's mad. Really mad.

Aiden's eyes scan over the page and his jaw locks. Suddenly, he rips the note up and chucks the remnants in the bin. I watch as he slowly makes his way over to where Matthew is sitting and slams his hand onto the desk. I flinch as the thud resounds around the classroom. He leans down towards Matthew and whispers something that I can't hear.

Matthew visibly pales at whatever Aiden says, and his eyes widen in fear. He nods his head vigorously, and Aiden shoots him one last icy glare before sauntering back over to me.

Um. Okay, that just happened.

He regards me curiously, and I gulp knowing an investigation is soon to follow.

"So" he says, "Who's that jackass?"

"No one" i say, too quickly for his liking.

He narrows his eyes at me. "You're lying" he says, studying me intently.

Crap, I dig my nails into my palms and grow uncomfortable as he regards me intently. I can't tell him, what would he think of me?

Wait, since when did I care what he thought? I just met him today for God's sake. What is wrong me with me all of a sudden?

Sensing my discomfort he drops the topic, much to my relief.

Aiden drops into the seat next to me and looks at me seriously furrowing his eyebrows at me before showing me his phone. Huh? "I think there's something wrong with my phone."

"Why's that?" I ask, confused.

"Because it doesn't have your number in it." He winks.

And there it is.

"That was horrible." I reply, but I can't suppress a small smile that makes its way onto my face.

He smirks, "If you think that was horrible wait till you hear the next one."

I sigh, "well go ahead then."

"Girl, are you a parking ticket?"

I look at him, confused as to where this is going.

"Cause you've got fine written all over you." he leans forward, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

I raise an eyebrow at him, "No, but you must be a jury notice, cause I've been trying to avoid you."

"Ouch gorgeous, you wound me." he says in mock hurt, holding a hand to his chest dramatically and rocking back on his chair. I roll my eyes at his antics.

Aiden shoots pick up after cheesy pick up line at me for the rest of the class, and I find myself actually not feeling the need to strangle him for once.

Eventually, the teacher comes back from what must've been a long ass coffee break and blinks at us in surprise, obviously forgetting we were here. After getting over his initial shock he dismisses us.

I sigh in relief, finally I can go home. As I'm gathering my things Matthew walks past us. He starts to open his mouth to say something, but once he catches a glimpse of Aiden glaring stonily at him he backs off. I watch as he scurries out of the room.

I grab all my things and am almost out the door when I hear Aiden call after me,

"Girl, If you were a McDonald's burger, you'd be the McGorgeous."
