"Mommy can I open this one please!"
It was dark. Everything around you was dark. Your eyes fluttered open at the sound of a little girl excitedly talking to her mother. You closed your eyes and yawned as you gradually woke up. Being trapped in the same position for who knows how long wasn't fun, and you wanted more than anything to get out of your small plastic box of prison. Just as your eyes got adjusted to the darkness you, your box was suddenly being shaken violently up and down before the child wildly tore off the pink and purple gift wrap off the front of the box. You fought back the tears that threaten fall from your (E/C) eyes as your box was now being flooded by light. The child's face lit up with joy when she looked over her new doll.
"So Lucy, do you like your new Barbie." The child's father asked.
"I love her! She's the same one that I seen on tv." She squealed with glee as she stared at the beautiful plastic doll that was in the box. Without moving, you looked up at the little girl who was already opening your box; even though she looked sweet you only prayed that she was kind to her toys.
"Can you get her out of her box mommy, please? I want her to meet her new friends." The girl asked her mother while handing the box to her.
"Of course sweetie." Her mother carried the box into the kitchen where she proceeded to cut it open with scissors. After a few minutes, the lady handed you to her blonde haired daughter. "Now play nice with your new Barbie, Lucy." She said.
"I will, I'm to name her (Y/N)! Thank you mommy and daddy! I love my new doll! I'm going to show her to Tom." She smiled at her parents before running upstairs to her older brother's room.
Lucy skipped down the hallway and into her brother's bedroom, "Tom come look at my new doll!" She beamed. Her brother stopped cleaning his fish tank as he smiled and looked down at his little sister.
"Wow. She's pretty Lucy! Did you tell mom and dad thank you?" He said while taking his arm out of the empty fish tank and drying it off with an old towel.
"Yes I did!" She replied as she walked towards Tom's bed and sat down. Her small hands were constantly smoothing out the wrinkles on your black and blue rockabilly dress, and adjusted you black high heels.
"Hey Lucy, I'm going to the pet store to buy some fish. Would you like to come with me? You can pick out the fish that will go in my fish tank. I'll take you to get ice cream afterwards." He said while grabbing his wallet and car keys.
She gasped and gently tossed you onto the bed as she ran out of Tom's room. "Really!? Wait for me! I have to put my shoes on." She yelled from her room. Her brother laughed and walk out of his room to wait for her downstairs.
"I'll be downstairs waiting, I'll wait for you." He said.
You blinked and slowly sat as you stretched your arms and legs. You held your head in your hands as you tried to stop the dizziness that was creeping through your head. Once it faded away, you took in your new surroundings as you stood up on wobbly legs and walked around on the bed. The room was clean, and had a reasonable size to it; the walls were a dark blue, and were completely covered in rock and roll posters. To the left of the room, there was a large black bean bag and a video game system.
"Well, she's sweet but certainly has a short attention span. I just hope she plays nice." You said to yourself while sitting back down on the bed again.
"Don't worry honey. Lucy may be a little too hyper at times, but she loves and takes good care of her toys." A masculine voice said from within the room.
You gasped and stood up out of fear as you frantically looked around the room to find the source of the voice.
"Who's there? Where are you?" Your voice quivered as you hugged yourself trying your best to not get scared.
"Hey, calm down honey. I'm up here, on the wooden shelf next to the bed." The deep voice replied.
You looked up and to the right of the bed as you spotted the shelf that the voice directed you to. Your eyes searched every row on the wooden shelf until you seen a man, almost around your height, smiling and waving at you. You smiled back shyly and waved back at him. Walking across the bed towards the shelf, you got a better look at him, and needless to say he was very handsome. The man had long, black hair, that was well passed his shoulders, with a few white streaks mixed into it, his skin was fair and he had lovely blue eyes that were outlined with black makeup. His outfit was interesting too. From his black jacket that was adorned with saw blades that covered his shirtless torso, black leather pants with a studded belt and over-the-knee, black, heeled boots, this guy was definitely intimidating and you certainly didn't want to get on his bad side. The man placed his arms on his knees as he leaned forward to look at you.
"So, I'm guessing that you're new here, right?" He asked while giving you a charming smirk.
You blushed and looked away slightly, "Yes I am. I was a gift for the little girl." You watched the black haired man stand up, and walk to over to the edge of shelf.
"Well isn't she lucky to have someone as pretty as you to play with. Like I said before, she's a good girl. You don't have to worry about anything." He said while climbing down the shelf before dropping down onto a desk that was underneath the shelf. He strolled across the desk, and jumped onto the bed. You backed away somewhat and watched as he approached you, he was much taller than you expected him to be.
"Instead of staying on that shelf, I thought it would be nice to greet you properly. My name is Blackie Lawless, but you can call me Blackie. What's your name beautiful?" He charismatically smiled while holding his out to you.
"It's nice to meet you Blackie. My name is (Y/N)." You hesitantly reached your hand out, and grabbed his hand. Blackie gently held your hand before placing a soft kiss on your knuckles. He smirked in amusement as he watched your cheeks turn pink.
"Well, (Y/N) it's nice to meet you. If you'd like, I can give you a tour of Lucy's room before she comes back home." He said while holding his arm out so that you could grab onto it.
"For looking like rock and roll's most wanted, he is quite the gentleman." You thought to yourself as you looped your arm with his.
The two of you walked to the side of the bed, and look down over the edge. Blackie sat down and slid off the bed onto a pillow that had fallen on the floor. He smiled and lifted his arms up as he motioned for you to jump down off the bed.
"I don't think I'll make it Blackie." You sat on the bed and looked down at him reluctantly.
"It's ok (Y/N). I'll catch you, I would never let you fall." Blackie confidently said as he walked a little closer to the bed, his arms were still stretched out.
After hearing him say that, you felt butterflies fluttering around your heart and stomach while you continued to stare at his eyes. You exhaled a breath you didn't know you were holding before you slowly scooted closer to the edge.
"Hurry up and jump (Y/N)!" You mentally told yourself. At that moment, you flung your body off the bed and quickly screamed as you reached out to grab onto Blackie.
Blackie wrapped his arms around you, and held you close to him as he stroked your (H/C) hair. You buried your face into his shoulder, and your arms were wrapped tight around his waist.
"You did it. See it wasn't that bad." He said as you lifted your head to look at him.
"Easy for you to say. I'm sure you've done this before." You playfully pouted. Blackie laughed and gently set you on your feet as he looked you over to see if you were okay.
"Yes, I have done this before lots of times. You get used to it after awhile." He offered his arm to you, to which you gladly held onto it. "First off, this is Lucy's older brother's room. As you can see he loves everything about rock 'n roll. I was actually his first action figure, or doll, that he's ever owned. Despite eighteen year old Tom being a metal-head, he's a great son and older brother." Blackie talked as he led you across Tom's room, and out of his bedroom door.
You were in awe at everything that you seen as you and Blackie walked down the carpeted hallway to Lucy's room. In the distance, you could see hues of of purple and white coming from the room that was at the end of the hall. As Blackie continued to show you all the decorations that were in the hallway, you would sneak a quick glance or two at Blackie. His long hair framed his chiseled face just right, and his melodic voice flowed smoothly past his soft lips. But little did you know, he was doing the same thing.
