"It wasn't perfect, but you tried your damn best to make it perfect, so thats what matters." Gio told me while we were on the way to school. Gio saw that I was kind of down and was trying to make me happier. I let his words sit in for a while.
When Gio pulled into the school he walked around to my side of the car and walked me into the school. We walked over to the corner we typically stand in.
"Leila what's wrong? I know you're not ok." Gio says. I frown, why can he read me so well?
"I don't know. I shouldn't even be upset, this is what I wanted." I reply
"Of course you should be upset, you just had a breakup." He says while pulling me into a hug. Gio makes me feel better, no matter what is wrong.

(Alex's POV)
As I walked into school I saw Leila with Gio. It hurt me so much. Why did she have to break up with me? I froze in my position after seeing Leila and Gio, until Carlos started yelling to me, while walking up to me.
"Alex, my dude." He yelled. I never took my eyes off of Leila.
"Uhh hello. Focus dude." Carlos yells at me while standing next to me.
"Sorry man." I say back still staring at Leila. Carlos followed my eyes and eventually stared at Leila too.
"He's gonna kiss her." I say sounding hurt.
"Hey, it's ok. Let's go over with Adriana." Carlos said to me.
Yes, Adriana was still dating Carlos, but she is Leilas best friend first. She is super mad at me for holding on to Leila. She won't talk to me, let alone look at me. I know for a fact that all Adriana wants is for Leila to be happy, but I'm not happy. I miss her.

(Leilas POV)
Gio walked me to my locker after the last bell rung. I put a few books in my bag and took it out of my locker. I went to put it over my shoulder, but Gio took it from me before I could. We walked down the stairs and over to Gio's car. He opened the door for me and walked around to the drivers side.
"Do you want to go to a party with me tonight?" Gio asks me.
"Umm that's probably not a very good idea." I responded.
"What, why?" Gio asks me. I had to come up with an excuse to hide the real reason, I didn't want to get sucked into drinking alcohol.
"Umm I'm on my period... I really just wanna go home and do nothing." I use as an excuse. He laughs and smiles.
"Fine. As long as we get to spend the night together, I'll be happy." Gio says with a smile.
"Me too." I reply. The ride was silent, until we got a few blocks away from my house.
"Hey leils.." Gio said
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too." Gio looked at me and smiled.
"Like I'm really in love with you." He replies like I didn't believe him.
"I know. I really love you too." I say back. "I know what you meant."
When we got back to my house, Gio and I walked up to my room. He sat on my bed, while I took my makeup off and put my hair into a ponytail.
"You know what we should do, since you don't want to go to the party?" Gio asks
"What?" I ask
"Let's go out. Like on a real date." Gio says
"Gio, Alex and I broke just up..."
"I know Leila, but we don't have to be like boyfriend and girlfriend, just go out with me. One date." Gio says to me while I was walking over to him.
"Ok fine. One date." I say giving into him.
"Yay! Leila were gonna have so much fun." Gio says to me.
"I know Gio." I say as he pulls me into a hug. I hug back.
"Leila..." Gio says
"Yeah?" I ask.
"I know you're not on your period." Gio says with a laugh.
"What do you mean?" I ask him, knowing that I wasn't on my period. I had it two weeks ago, I just didn't want to go to the party.
"Leila you had your period like a week ago. I remember because I brought you food and we watched movies together." He says.
"Ok. Ok. Fine. I just don't want to go to any parties. That's it." I say firmly.
"Ok. I'd rather spend time with just you anyways." Gio told me while smiling.

(Gio's POV)
Leila and I were on our way to the mall to go to the pet store. Leila loves dogs, so we're going to go play with some. After we got there I walked around and opened her door. She got out and smiled.
"Thank you." She says while grabbing my hand.
We walked into the mall I led her through it, until we found the pet store.
"We came here?" She said with a happy expression on her face.
"Yeah, I figured that we could play with a few puppies. I know that you love dogs sooo..." I say sort of nervous.
"Awhh... don't be so nervous." She says while nudging me.
"How can I not?" I laughed
I walked over to the worker and she picked a puppy up out of the cage for me. I walked over to Leila and handed the dog to her.
"Awhhh this dog is the cutest Ive ever seen." She says while pulling the dog into her chest. "This is the best thing we could have done tonight!" Leila says with a smile on her face.
"I'm glad you like it." I say
Leila and I walked around the mall for a little bit, then we went back to Leilas house.

(Leilas POV)
Gio and I went back to my house and ordered food. Gio wanted Chinese, so that's what we got, but I'm hoping that Logan doesn't deliver it. When the doorbell rung, I was kind of scared to open it. Gio got up off the couch and opened the door to find Logan with our food.
"Umm here you go." Logan says handing Gio our food with a half smile on his face as he saw me in the background.
I got up from my spot on the couch and walked over to where I keep my wallet. I pulled out a few bills and handed them to Logan. Gio and I ate then he went home. I got ready for bed. I was so tired after today. I fell asleep almost instantly after laying in bed.
