Dinner was like usual. Everyone avoided mentioning Hoseok's leaving until their dad spoke up

"Are you all ready for tomorrow?" Jihyun asked turning to Hoseok.

"Yep, I finished packing just before dinner" Hoseok nodded proudly.

"Are we really going to have to wait until Thanksgiving to see you?" Sungwon asked with a sad expression.

"Actually..." Hoseok trailed off.

"He won't be home until Christmas" Jihyun finished.

"Christmas?" Jimin frowned

"Speaking of" Taehyung spoke up then, "I have a surprise for you" Taehyung pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Hoseok.

Hoseok opened the paper and frowned.

"It's my flight information. I bought a ticket to come see you for Thanksgiving" Taehyung grinned widely.

God, he was so considerate and sweet - Jimin smiled

"Did you already pay for this?" Hoseok asked not looking too happy

"Yeah..." Taehyung nodded, a frown forming.

Hoseok folded the paper and pushed away from the table.

The whole room suddenly filling with awkward silence
