chapter 12 funeral

Weiss pov

It was time. For Y/n's funeral.  I wore black and went to the funeral. There I saw everyone.  All his friends and family.  So many came to mourn Y/n.  Ruby and Yang came up to me.

Ruby: Hey Weiss. How you holding  up?

Weiss: Terribly.  I still can't  believe  he's  dead.

Yang: Yeah. I know how it feels. But you got a kid now.

I put a hand on my stomach. 

Weiss: Yeah. They'll  never know their father. But at least they get to know that he died a hero.

Ruby: Yeah. Y/n is a hero.

Weiss: Yeah.  I'll  make sure they know what their father has done.

I walked over to Rex and Cody.

Rex: Weiss. How are you?

Weiss: Grieving.  Y/n's death hurts a lot.

Cody: Yeah. We get it kid.

Rex: A whole lot of people  are here for Y/n. And they know you have his kid in you.  So I know everyone  here will help with the kid if they need to.  So if you need money.

Weiss:*chuckle* I'm  a schnee.

Rex: I know. But you never know anymore.  And I'm  sure that  we'll  provide  security  for you if you need us. All of us want to help. Just say the word and we'll  help in any way we can.

Cody: What Rex said. And he was one of the  bravest  people I  could  have met. It would  be an honor to work for the mother of his child.

I hugged Rex and he hugged back.

Rex: Take care of yourself  Weiss.

Weiss: I will.

I walked up to Y/n's casket  to see him lying  there in peace.

Weiss: Y/n. I love you.

I kissed his forehead.  I stayed there for a minute.

Qrow: Hard to believe  ain't  it?

I turned to see Qrow. And he looked better than normal.

Qrow: I'm  actually  sober in case you're  wondering.  Tai is upset. Who knows about  Raven. And I  know about  the kid. Weiss...let me know if you need a hand.

Weiss: Thanks.

I saw a woman appear  from a portal.

Qrow: Raven. You're  here too.

Raven: Yeah. Never thought  I would  be.

Qrow: Neither  did I.

Raven: Weiss. Thanks for making  him happy.

Qrow: Your a grandmother  Raven.

Raven: I am?

Weiss: Yeah.

Raven: Oh. *saddened * I should  have stayed longer.

Weiss: I'm  happy we got everybody  here.

Qrow: You won't  believe  how long it took me to convince  Rex not to kill Tai.

Raven: I bet that took forever. 

Qrow: Yeah. Its a temporary  truce.

Weiss: Thanks for trying. 

Qrow: Its what Y/n would want.

The sermon started. We all said what we wanted and started eating  lunch. Then someone  I didn't  want to come in did. My father.

Jacques: Weiss!

J walked up to him.

Weiss: What do you want dad?

Jacques: We're  leaving. 

Weiss: What?!

Jacques: That child is unsafe. Made from a man I did not approve to marry you. You shouldn't  have slept with any other man than your husband. And you don't  have one.

Weiss: What are you saying?

Jacques: *sighs* We'll  talk in the car.

Weiss: No! Tell me now!

Jacques: We can put the baby up for adoption.  Or we can abort it.

Weiss: YOU ARE NOT KILLING ME AND Y/N'S BABY!

Jacques: I figured  you would  choose adoption. 

Weiss: I'm  keeping  my baby.

Jacques: You listen to me. I have always  looked out for the best for you! And a baby is a lot of work!

Weiss: And I'm  willing  to work for it.

Jacques: I'm  not going  to ask again. Get in the car.

Weiss: No.

Jacques: Men.

A group of men entered  the establishment.  Rex and cody looked at eachother  and nodded. They walked next to me arms crossed.

Rex: You want to get to her. You'll  have to get through  us first. 

Cody: You see all those people  behind  us? *points to clones standing  up* They'll  kill you before  you get close to Weiss.

Jacques: I don't  care how many of you there are. I know what's  best for Weiss! And she is MY daughter!

Jacques  went to grab Weiss. But his wrist was grabbed by Tai.

Tai: And that's  MY grand child  in her. I was the worst dad. But I will not make the same mistake with his kid. But since this is his funeral I won't  just knock you dead here and now. I'll  give you to the count  of five to leave.

Tai threw him backwards. 

Jacques  looked at me and I  gave a stern  look. He sighed and walked away taking  his men with him.

Tai: You okay Weiss?

Weiss: Yeah.

Tai: Sorry this happened. 

Weiss: Not you're  fault.

Rex: Thanks Tai...for standing  up here.

Tai: Believe  me Rex. I expected  you to beat the crap out of me. And I would  have let you.

I was glad. To have support. Because  I knew it would  be hard without  Y/n.
