chapter 4 ghosts of the past.

Y/n POV

I was walking around. Until I saw Cardin picking on a faunus student. I warned him. This time mercy was not an option. 

I pulled out my DCM and fired at them hitting all by Cardin. Not killing them. But they definitely felt pain. 

Cardin: Wait! I can- *gets shot in shoulder* Agh!

Y/n: I warned you already.

Ozpin on intercom: Would Y/n Rose please report to my office.

Y/n: Your lucky. Don't push your luck.

I knocked Cardin out with a punch and walked to Ozpin's office. I was in the elevator. Once it opened I entered the room.

But then I noticed a familiar face. My "father"

Tai: Y/n?  Its... Me. Dad. You remember me right?

Y/n: Yeah I remember you. I remember more than you would like me to.

Tai: Y/n. I know what I did was wrong. And I want to make up for it.

He tried to put his hand on my shoulder. I moved away from him.

Y/n: Do you really think words mean a damn thing? After all you have done. Your lucky I don't blast you!  I have had some damn fine aim as of late! Want to see?!

Ozpin: Mr. Rose!

Y/n: He hasn't told you half the story! I ran away because I was tried of being a punching bag and a slave.

Tai: Y/n... Please.

Y/n: You don't get to say please to me! When I begged you to stop hitting me! I said please to no end!  I found a real dad! A dad who gave a damn about me! Someone who I know loves me! More than you ever have!

That did it. Next thing I knew I had a hand collide with my face. It stung just for a second before it faded away. Tai figured out what he did. He looked in horror.

Tai: Y/n... I'm sorry...I didn't mean to.

Y/n: Things have changed. I'm not a little boy anymore. I... Hit back.

I punched him full force knocking him down on the ground. He fell down hard. He looked at me.

Y/n: Permission to be dismissed sir?

Ozpin: Granted Y/n. Sorry for wasting your time.

I left in the elevator leaving Tai on the floor.

(Ozpin POV)

Ozpin:What the hell was that?!

Tai: Ozpin I can explain.

Ozpin: I think it was pretty clear why he ran away! And I don't blame him! And I'll tell you right now, if you harass him you will be banned from Beacon!

Tai: I understand.

Ozpin: Good. Now get out!

Tai listened and waited for the elevator.

Ozpin in head: And I told Qrow too. With luck that won't start a brawl.

(Y/n pov)

I was walking around beacon after the incident. No doubt I thought the troubles of the past were over. Until I heard another familiar voice.

Qrow: Y/n is that you?

Y/n: When it rains it freaking pours!

Qrow: Y/n. Look at me.

I turned to face him. He saw the mark on my face.

Qrow: Y/n what happened?

Y/n: Your smart. Figure it out. Maybe you should ask Tai why he got knocked flat on his rear.

Qrow: Y/n. I didn't realize.

Y/n: Oh yeah that's rich! Maybe its because your always drunk! And while you trained Ruby! Not once did I ever hear you ask about me!  Instead I got trained by someone who gives a damn!

Qrow: I do care kid.

Y/n: I believe none of you at all. All of you say the same thing. At what point do you think I would believe it?

Qrow: I... I don't know.

Y/n: Yeah. Exactly, now if you excuse me.  I'm going to my dorm.

I walked away leaving a sad Qrow. I went into my dorm. I only just got out of my armor and into normal clothes when I heard a knock on the door. I went and answered it. And to my surprise it was Weiss.

Weiss: H...hey Y/n.

Y/n: Weiss. What a surprise. Something wrong?

Weiss: N...no. I just wanted to check on you. I heard about up in Ozpin's office.

Y/n: I'm fine Weiss. Thanks.

Weiss: No problem. If you need anything. Let me know okay?

Y/n: I'll keep it in mind.

Weiss: Okay...bye.

Y/n: Bye.

She walked away and I closed the door.  I couldn't help but realize how weird it was she was acting that way.

But I had bigger problems now. A pain in my rear end. One that you can't get rid of easily
