Chapter 16

After the fire was cleared up, the school had a large assembly in the great hall.

"As you all know, one of our school hallways was burned down. We have no evidence whatsoever who started the fire, but if you have any clues, please contact me immediately. While we are still waiting, the school will go on as normal but we will add more patrols around the school. You may all be dismissed, and have a great day!"the principal said and I stood up slowly with Mac and Lance, happy that the speech ended.

Walking to our next class, herbology, I glanced at the two brothers beside me. Both demons, yet they are so different. I had so much to ask them, and even more to find out. But we had to wait for that moment.

Five hours later......

"Finally!"I said, bursting into the large common room and jumping onto a sofa. "The school day is over..."I muttered and Lance sat on the floor next to my waist. Mac stared at the tv, which was still broken. "We need a new tv."he muttered. "Ya think?"I asked, ruffling Lances hair. He groaned and I chuckled, looking back to Mac.

"What's wrong?"I asked. He shrugged, walking to the small fridge and grabbing a Coke. "Nothing..."He muttered. I sat up on the sofa, looking into his eyes which were a burning gold by the fire. He was feeling all types of emotions, and through the pack link he was distant, pained. "It's your mate?"I asked.

He looked to me in slight hurt and nodded. "She's making out with him."he said. "And who is this 'him'? He is not you, not as good as you. You are hers and she is your. Claim her. What's her name anyway?"I asked, irritated that she was upsetting one of my pack members. God, being a female alpha is like an overprotective mother.

"Her name is Julie."he said. I nodded and walked to the freezer, grabbing two boxes of ice cream and three spoons. Handing Mac a spoon and ice cream, holding the other stuff in my hands, he stared at me in confusion. "It's a thing we girls do when we're sad. It'll help you."I said enthusiastically and he took it gladly. "So what movie to watch?"I asked, taking out my hidden phone from my pocket.

"Civil war!"Lance said. Ruffling his hair again, I shoved a spoonful of ice cream in my mouth. "A sad movie, dummy."I said through another mouthful of cookie dough. God this was so good!

He rolled his eyes at my swiftness in eating the ice cream then thought about a movie to watch. "Can we just watch something scary?"Mac said, his tone slightly hostile. "Sure. No going psycho mode while we watch it, though."I said. He sighed and I scanned through something to watch.

"Let me choose!"Lance said, reaching to grab my phone but I pulled away. Giggling as we fought over the phone, he groaned and gave up. "Yes! A classic, It."I said, smiling widely ear to ear like a pure maniac. We cuddled together in a circle, enjoying the peace and quiet the other roommates gave us.

As the intro settled, someone walked in behind us. Edna and Edward plopped down next to us, not interrupting smartly. "Boo!"said the clown and I slightly flinched as he bared a mouthful of teeth and blood. Lance gripped my hand and I smiled at him, eating away the ice cream as he looked away to see Mac frowning.

The guidance counselor was about to tell us to go to bed, but I gave her a glare and she walked away. Quickly. "Well, the movie is over. Any other suggestions?"I asked. "Ohh, my favorite."Edward said and Edna sighed. "Silent. Hill."he said and Mac clapped. "Yes, the perfect amount of gore and," "Monsters!"they both yelled at the same time. I broke into endless laughter and wiped a tear, searching for the movie.

"You guys are silly." 'We sure are.' Edna said through the link. I stared at her and Edward. Smiling, I realized they joined our pack. "The movie can wait later, guys. We have to do a lot of things tomorrow," "Like what?"Mac asked. I raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you questioning your Alpha?"I asked.
