I guess you wouldn't understand if I told you everything from where I am now...so.... I will go back to the very beginning, the day of my bestfriend Mabel's birthday party.

13 years earlier:

"Come on Nebbie! I wanna see you in your dress!" Today was Mabel's birthday party. She's my bestest friend and I am so excited to see her! Her party is a princess tea party, so my mommy took me out to get a brand new princess dress for the party! We are supposed to dress up as our favorite princess; mine is Cinderella so I chose to go as her!

I spun around in the mirror one last time then raced down the stairs to my mom, brown hair bouncing around my shoulders in curls that my mom had put in it. "Ready mommy?" "Ready beauty!" I bound into the mud room, and spin around as my mom takes pictures. "You look beautiful neb!" She smiles helping me put on my jacket. "Alright so, Mabel's present is in the car already so let's get going. Oh! And it's raining so I put the car in the garage so your hair and dress wouldn't be ruined." I nod and follow her out to the garage and get into the car. " Ready sweetie?" I nod holding onto the gift for Mabel, it's wrapped in really pretty pink wrapping paper and ribbons curls that I helped my mom make the night before. I hope she loves it!

The van backs out of the garage, the rain hitting the windows and then slowly rolling down only to have it happen all over again. I trace a couple droplets down my window, smiling because I love the rainy weather. I watch out the window as the trees pass by in a blur of green and brown. On days like these i'm glad we didn't live too far from Mabel and her family. Usually one of us would walk to the others but, it's raining so we had to drive instead.

It wasn't long before we pulled into Mabel's driveway. Bright pink and white balloons decorate the porch and other little signs hang among them. My mom and I walked up to the porch, mom holding an umbrella over us so we didn't get soaking wet from the rain. I could hear the Disney music from here! This is going to be an awesome party!

My mom knocks on the door and waits for Mrs.Kinglsey, Mabel's mom, to answer it. I watched the woods behind us. I swear I can see four wolves in the tree line, but I didn't say anything incase I was wrong. But...what if I'm right? Are we in danger? Would they attack us? But saying something would ruin Mabel's party! I didn't wanna ruin her day. But, little did I know I just changed the course of the day, and the rest of my life.
